It was a beautiful day. The kids always love going to this park. It is always clean. Never have any issues. There is a splash pad close by for the kids to enjoy on those hot summer days!!

Stopped at this park on our road trip to Colorado Springs. Right off I-70, just past the welcome center. Very cool playground with equipment appropriate for big and little kids.

On the 5+ equipment: Three story tunnel slides decorated as a rocket ship were a hit for my 6.5 year old playing pretend with kids we met there. Tire swing, regular swings, baby swings, all abilities swings. Spinny seats, various climbers and balancing equipment. Cool pogo stick-type equipment, monkey bars, etc.

On the 2-5 equipment: miniature versions of the slides, climbers, and a fun bridge. Sit in rocket shop bouncers are right by.

On the main equipment, there is some all-abilities access. Ramps lead you up to the lower part of the 5+ equipment where there are lower slides and other built-in activities.

Best of all, a robust splash pad is right off the playground! Bring your towels.

Shaded picnic and bench areas. Rubber mulch.

Would definitely recommend as a road trip lunch/break spot!

The playground is awesome but I'd recommend staying away from the west end of this park where the reading trail is. There's some sort of abandoned motel and the homeless people living there will stare at you out of the broken windows. Totally creepy. I went in May 2025 and the infestation was just beginning. Came through in July and it was worse. Doesn't seem to affect the playground at the moment but it's something to watch out for.

This is one of our favorite parks to play at while on road trips along 70. Our kids love it, they call it the space ship park and beg us to go more often. It is a great pitstop for our dogs too, they love all of the grassy areas to play in too.

What an amazing place to stop! This was our half way point on the way home and boy are we glad we stopped here. Such a beautiful place to eat and play. Very well maintained, plenty of space to let the kids run around. There’s a splash pad too. The playground is what steals the show here. I nearly played on it myself it’s so nice.

Amazing park for a road trip break!! But city slickers beware: STRONG COW ODOR. It's like Christopher Walken stopped by with his grandkids and demanded more cow smell.

-1 star for not having a gigantic essential oils diffuser in the middle of the park to cover the odor. I'd gladly drop a quarter into a slot for it to puff out some lavender salvation. Or at least an oversized tree shaped air freshener?

AMAZING pit stop while driving from Colorado to Kansas.

The space-themed playground is phenomenal. My favorite part is that the “little kid” area is on a circuit with the “big kid” area, but they don’t overlap in a way that a little kid could get to the higher hazards.

The splash pad was AMAZING. Well worth the stop.

Fitness health: There is an exercise area for over 50 adults, better than I have ever seen outside before! Many versatile (beginner, intermediate, advanced) stations for locals or travelers to use. Do a little or a lot so that you will look better, feel better, and be prepared for the demands of life. Do it!
