Excellent location. Staff were all super pleasant and helpful. Rooms were a fine size for the price as well. Took two stars off for the comfort of the bed. My wife and myself both did not sleep well with the extra firm mattress and flat pillows. I would most likely stay here again because the location and value are perfect, especially for a single night, but the beds for sure could use an update.

If you are booking at the property that has the suites, be advised that even though it states that there is air conditioning, there is only one until in the living room, not in the bedrooms. The bedrooms stay quite warm as the AC does not reach into them. We stayed in room 116, a two bedroom suite and the heat was miserable so even though they advertise it as AC, it is not. The location is great, the units are clean and the noise level is minimal

Pleasantly surprised! Clean building, quiet (was on the 3rd floor), AC, private bath. Small fridge and microwave in room. I dearly miss the Surf Hotel and have stayed a few different places since its closing. I believe I found my new yearly spot. Thanks for a great stay!

On the positive side, the Water Street Inn is steps from the ferry, check-in at Harborside was easy, room was ready earlier than the 3:00 time. We stayed on the 3rd floor and were prepared for the stairs. The door to the room did not fully close and it took some jiggling to get in fully locked, no extra security lock inside the door. The room has a small refrigerator which needed cleaning and defrosting, a microwave and coffee maker. 2 hairdryers were in the room and a small mesh bag with complimentary lotion, shampoo and conditioner with 1 very small bar of soap. We had to go to the Harborside to get another bar.||The room is small, 1 window, with a very noisy floor air conditioner vented through the window and a noisy ceiling fan. The sheets were scratchy, very poor TV reception and really no surface area, such as a small bureau, to place most used belongings. The bathroom is incredibly small, opening the door blocks the sink/mirror. If you close the door to the bathroom, the temp. and humidity increase making hair and makeup a challenge. ||Adequate accommodations for a quick beach getaway if nothings else is available but difficult to justify paying top dollar for this room.

(I stayed in room #3 on 2nd floor ) getting the keys the staff are so friendly. Entering the building I felt the appearance looked clean and nicely decorated. View from windows was nice to look out at the water. It was a plus how the room is provided with delicious coffee to prepare yourself. The Inn is so close to everything ♡ oh then when checking out I was extremely grateful the staff offered to hold my belongings as I went off for a stroll while I was waiting for 3pm ferry 🙂 If i ever get the chance I definitely would book again .

We we're lucky to get a room for only booking a week ahead in August. We stayed in room 2. The room was clean and tidy. One window, which overlooked a fire escape. Located above a restaurant. I could smell the exhaust fan, which was a fried grease smell. Luckily the restaurant closes early. Check in was easy and we were able to store our luggage before check in. Don't expect to check in early like they say you can if the room is ready. It was fine for what we needed. We basically just slept in the room and explored all day. Would only return if it was only option.

Visiting in October, pricing is excellent. Large room, excellent views. Clean; comfortable beds, small fridge, coffee maker hair dryer, etc. Photos a little deceiving on website: not quite as new. Easy check-in, place for luggage in event room not ready. Cannot beat the location right on waterfront. Would definitely return....especially at this time of year!

Nice little spot right in the middle of town with walking distance to anywhere near town and directly across from the ferry in Old Harbor. Clean, nice toiletries, nice towels and sheets. Downsides; very noisy front street and bar below and children jumping off the bed at 7am. Other wise, beautiful ocean view from
