一年に一度のお祭りらしい。たまたま仲良くなった現地の人に聞いて出かけた。その日は雨も時々降り風も強く肌寒かった。桜はまだつぼみだったが沢山の人出だった。その賑わいにハワイの人の生活の匂いと喜び、たくましさを感じた。

Lots of crafts, foods, and entertainment for all ages. It is located in Waimea, I recommend bringing a jacket and an umbrella just in case. Some years its sunny sometimes its rainy. Wear comfy footwear, lots of walking. I love the cherry blossom trees and food the most.

Waimea is beautiful. Cool temperatures, green hills and pastoral landscape. Friendly people and all around great town. Cherry blossoms are past full bloom, but still a nice park to have a picnic and stretch your legs if on a road trip.

For the past three years this festival has never failed me. Local crafts, rummage sale, jewelry, food booths at church row. Waimea also has three farmers markets happening on Saturdays. Bus and shuttle services are a plus, and minimizes your time spent in traffic because it gets enormously hectic. The bus takes you to church row from the Parker Ranch Shopping Center and back. Shuttle services will take you to the Smart house and to the farmers market @ Pukalani stables. You do need to bring your patience and a good pair of walking shoes, however. Held every first weekend of February.
