From start to finish, our experience at Virgil’s was absolutely amazing! The highlight of our visit was our incredible server, Kortne. He truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. His energy was infectious, and he made the whole dining experience feel personal and special. Not only was he attentive and professional, but he also gave us fantastic recommendations that did not disappoint. He engaged us in great conversation and made sure everything was just right. Service like that is rare, and we truly appreciated it!

Now, let’s talk about the food….WOW! Every single dish we tried was bursting with flavor. The After Church Wing Plate was an absolute must-try, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The corn muffins were savory, moist, and had the perfect balance of sweetness. The gumbo was rich, and full of depth, truly comforting in every way. The fried okra was crispy and golden, exactly how it should be. And let me just say, the mac and cheese was hands down the best.

From the warm atmosphere to the outstanding service and unforgettable food, this place is a 10/10 in every way. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend Virgil’s to anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Atlanta. If you visit, make sure to ask for Kortne, he will take great care of you!

This place was popping!!!! Birthdays, Line dance, couples date. The DJ was alright, she still had the crowd jumping. Food was freaking delicious, adult beverages strong and good. Our waiter Jamil a.k.a Mello, that kid was on it. The place was full and he stayed consistent with us. Then u had the other waiters who roams around and make sure peoples cups were refilled. Thank you crew for a great experience.

I can't offer enough adulation for Virgil's. The food is exquisite. Where's that Michelin star? From the green's, to the mac, to the gumbo and wings. I was blown away by the craft and care for each dish. Plus, I had the best Whiskey Mary ever. The blend of spices was perfect. Virgil's deserves your patronage, often.

We ate here for Valentine's, The cooks get a 5 star!! Everything was made fresh to order, food was brought to us hot and fresh.

The after church plate was good, I personally don't eat collards so I ordered a side of yams. [you can't make substitutions have to order what you like as an addition ] The mac and cheese was GREAT - it could use a little bit of black pepper, but it was very cheesy and had a great cheese pull in EVERY BITE! The chicken was fried nice and the hot sauce was hot. The yams lacked flavor.

My spouse ordered the fish and grits. The fish was crisp just right and fresh. He personally felt the grits were a bit dry but not bad. He tasted the collard greens from my order and said they tasted decent.

The sodas and lemonde taste like water. They come from the bar, no fizz at all.

Our server was nice but not too attentive. We had to grab his attention for stuff.

After leaving we realized we never got our corn muffins but overall the place was nice.

Y’all….. they say a picture is worth a thousand words so look at these pictures!! This food is so good! The place is small and has a nice atmosphere with welcoming service. I’m really picky about soul food since I’m from a family full of cookers (and am one myself 😛) but this place is worth it. I will definitely be back as y’all can tell by these empty plates.

This place is amazing!!! The ambience is clean and modern (which I like), it’s a nice aesthetic. The hostess was super sweet and our waiter Khali was so patient with us because the food selections looked so good that it was hard to choose. He did a great job of making us feel comfortable and was on time with our service. Now, to the food, OMG!!!!!! Everything was great! The corn muffins are to die for!! The sammey bites with the sauce was so good! We ordered the Wingz N’ Waffles, Fish N Grits, Slamming Seafood Bowl, with Gullah Hash as a side, greens and Mac N Cheese. Come here for some good brunch, it will be worth it!

My wife and I came here tonight for the first time. They have free parking for 2 hrs next door and we were sat quickly. We sat at the bar and the bartender came over and greeted us, we then ordered appetizers. Everything was good at this point. The apps came out quick, we ordered the deviled eggs and the egg rolls. The deviled eggs with crab meat, they were super good. The egg rolls, nothing special, just tasted like rice and corn. This is where things went to the left. We finished our apps and waited and waited and waited and waited. The bartender never came back. My wife stopped someone else to bring him over so we could order our entrees. He never came over. We finally gave up and walked to the bar to just pay and leave. We informed the manager of our disappointment because that's just unacceptable! 2 stars because Alonza did take care of the appetizers so we appreciate that!
