This place is top notch! The grounds are beautiful and the staff are angels straight from heaven! It can be a hard find to have staff that treat the elders as family & love and care for them like they are their own parents. I love how involved the staff is with all of the events and daily fun activities for the residents 🫶🏼 Venetian Gardens is a 10/10!!!

My mother lived here for a few years, food was marginal, she made a bunch of friends, she never complained about the staff, I assumed they were good to her.
Place was in good shape, seemed clean.

Venetian Gardens is a warm community and a great option to all seniors in Venice area! The residents and Team are always very welcoming and makes you feel right at home. They have luxurious amenities, heated pool, happy hour and fun activities as well. They are also a pet friendly community which is a plus! I would highly recommend Venetian Gardens to all seniors citizens, as they support seniors to continue living life to the fullest, while having the support they need to have a successful aging in place lifestyle!

I recently toured Venetian Gardens. My overall experience was a refreshing and uplighting change from what I have seen and experienced. The Residents were so lovely and welcoming! They shared how happy they were to live in such a beautiful building and shared how busy they were every day "Just having fun". One lady shared that she enjoyed the bus outings. I was told about the activities they love and had an opportunity to peek in on a morning exercise class. Honestly, I was sold before I took the tour, simply from the conversations I enjoyed with the two ladies I met in the entry. As I was touring, I walked past small groups of residents chatting and planning lunch dates and visits.
The grounds and common areas are well maintained. the apartments are updated and the perfect size for my mother in law's needs. The manager told me they are doing renovations this year which will make the already wonderful community even better!

Venetian Gardens welcomed my mom to their wonderful facility last week. They have gone out of the way to make her feel welcome and at home. We live out of state, so it was important for us to feel comfortable that she was in a comfortable and safe environment.

When we made the decision that it was time for mom to be in a more structured environment, rather than living alone, she had just 1 request. You see, mom being a very gifted pianist had played several piano concerts there in the past and knew of the facility. When asked, she said "oh, I would love to live at Venetian Gardens, but I doubt they have any openings." Our information request filled out online was responded to very quickly that they indeed had an opening.

Mom is now settled in and enjoying her new digs very much. I can't say enough about how the staff has communicated with me to ensure mom's transition (thanks Kim!). Mom's making new friends, entertaining existing friends, and trying to keep up with the active lifestyle offered there.

Very well done, Venetian Gardens. We really appreciate it.

Wow has this place gone downhill quickly - mainly after Hurricane Ian (Sept 2022). It was previously one of the highest rated in Venice and I thought we had found a hidden gem. My MIL recently moved out after 5 months. As we live very close we saw all this first hand. See recent review from Joe Jenney for accurate pictures!

When she moved out almost all the former staff had left - and more have left since - in fact one manager made it only 3 months. I am afraid that says something about management at the corporate level.

Food had been fairly bad toward the end and at one point they were asking people hired for management or activities to cook and some of their spouses even showed up to help. Server turnover was unreal as they expected servers to also clean apartments. Corporate should have handled cooks leaving better. 3 meals per day are included and if that means you have to have it catered or bring a chef from other locations then that is what should happen. Dang even go to Costco and get food! You should not be having managers attempt to make grilled cheese sandwiches (which they burned btw). The units do not have cooking facilities (only a fridge and sink) so residents depend on the food service.

Transportation was to be provided but at one point the driver quit - another one was hired but eventually failed a background check. Then management told residents they would have to "find a their own driver" if they wanted to be transported. Many residents do not have cars or should not be driving this is unacceptable. Maybe they have found a driver but management did not act like that was even being attempted.

They only have one elevator that is shared by everyone and it is not dependable. Pool had still not opened 5 months after the hurricane (maybe it opened in the last month - who knows). Roof is still in need of repair after the hurricane (6 months now) - I drove by to check. Beware they have no generator.

Until improvements happen look at someplace else for you or your loved ones. Do not listen to empty promises of coming improvements.

As an employee I love this place, residents are amazing, and the good is great. There are also multiple activities for seniors that helps them improve not just physically but mentally, and emotionally since they are allowed to socialize with one another. I 100% recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to stay at.
