Food and service was great. But their disability ramp needs worked. Fell out in front of the restaurant. Went back in to tell owner and she seemed to not care. She was sitting on her phone and said “well I didn’t see anything nor did the customer”. Customers were not paying attention and going about their meal, owner of the restaurant was on her cell phone with TV going on inside. But didn’t seem to believe me when I confronted about the situation. Scraped arm bad and hurt ribs from landing on the railing.

Be careful on the handicap ramp carpet. It is not nailed down in place. Spoke with someone else that said their elderly parent also fell out on that same ramp.

I went there for a to go order. Small, old, and smelled really bad as soon as I walked in. I ordered meat and two vegetables. When I paid and saw my change,I asked for a refund immediately. She charged me $17.00!! For a meat and two? In a rinky dink little stinky hole in the wall,I'm not paying that ridiculous price.
The woman who waited on me never said a single word of welcome, she was just short of rude and dismissive
Ridiculous price, bad smell, and lackluster service are not worth nearly $20 for a measly lunch plate.
Thumbs down 👎

Had high hopes for this spot, cute little place. Enjoyed the decor. That was about it.

Food was plentiful but... Don't know about the rest of the menu but the turkey and ham sandwich was ok at best. The veggies were fresh and bread/cheese good, but the meat was very generic. The fries looked and tasted like they were straight out of a store brand frozen bag. Definitely expected better from southern home cooking. Especially for $16 with a flat Dr Pepper.

This little gem has some great "Southern home cookin" on offer. Their menu does change regularly, so don't expect the same dishes all the time. But they have all you can eat catfish on Fridays that is a great value! I think the cornbread and sides are the real stars of the show here. I'll definitely be back!

Won't be back here. We went through drive thru and ordered three cheeseburger plates and fries and one chicken tender plate with fries and it was $60. The food was not good at all. The fries were all dropping with grease. When I looked at the receipt the lady/owner handed me, we were charged over $7 in tax and I asked about it and was basically told sorry for your luck. Never again will we go to this mediocre place with overpriced food. Pay attention to your receipts folks you're being overcharged

Is this place a front? Because I genuinely don't understand how they're in business.

This was our first and last time eating here, which is a shame because the food was good, although it is hard to mess up waffles and eggs. As mentioned in other reviews, the service we received was pretty terrible. The owner was our server and she was rude from the start. We weren't greeted when we walked in, just stood there waiting to find out if we should seat ourselves until another customer near the door kindly told us to just sit wherever. When the owner came over, she said in an annoyed way, "Know what you want to drink?" We gave our orders, she didn't say a word, just walked away. The rest of our interactions went the same way. If we thanked her for something, she didn't respond. When I finished giving my food order, she didn't say a word, just turned to my husband and stared at him. She seemed like she was mad we came in and it was hands down the most uncomfortable experience I've ever had at a restaurant. What was even more baffling was that when more customers entered who were apparently her friends, she transformed into a different person and became chatty and friendly with them. At one point she didn't say a word to us as she dropped our silverware onto the table and continued the conversation with her friends, yelling over her shoulder across the dining room. There was one other table there aside from her friends and we saw she was similarly rude to them. It was bizarre. Why open a restaurant if you resent people coming in? Between the reviews (which I read after the fact) and our experience, I understand now why the place was dead during what should've been a weekend breakfast rush.

I waited tables for many years and would never think of treating customers like this. I'm shocked she gets enough business to keep the lights on.

Anyway, if you're looking for Southern hospitality, or just basic manners in general, I'd go somewhere else. Being mad at your customers for giving you business is a weird move.

Thought we were about to get some good ol southern breakfast with some homemade biscuits. NOPE... the biscuits are canned or a bad version of frozen. The only fresh thing on one of those biscuits was the egg. 🙄
