Beautiful school! Didn’t get to do a tour but managed to be told about all the hidden gems by the amazing librarian that has worked there for 20 years! Showed us the wall of fame on the 3rd floor. Amazing. Loved the charm of all the nestled buildings. Can’t wait to go back for a tour.

The best school I had the privilege in going to. Some of the best staff, food, and overall atmosphere.

Likes: some good programs (engineering, pharmacy, nuclear, ocean eng., etc), fairly nice campus, student involvement is adequate, Emporium (Rhode house), IEP house. Dislikes: PC culture (we got an email offering counseling to students after Trump was elected), towing, price of parking pass (over 250$ last I checked), dining hall food, parking availability (parking is the worst), most frats/sororities (some are chill, majority are not).

Rotten to it's core. Don't send your kids here. They won't come out so well

I personally didn’t take the college route.
Although I spent a fair amount of time here due to my ex girlfriend attending this college and it seems pretty well organized and fun though!
I always say if I did go to college, it would’ve been URI.
Great atmosphere.

Courses are updated and period related. Still, can do better in communications, specifically when emailing advisors, or some professors.
Overall experience is good.
Location is beautiful.

When I took this tour at first I was a little worried because how far away from home I was , but then I realized that I'm totally fine with it ! The campus is AMAZING! I fell in love with it right away. I just felt welcomed when I look at someone just because they had a smile on their face . I also love the diversity on campus , it show that this university supports all races. Really looking forward to joining you in 2019 !!!

At first, I thought that I had never
seen anything like this strange college town in the woods, and yet so close to a major interstate highway that it is a short drive from Connecticut and Providence.

After I went to mass at a local church on a Saturday afternoon, I drove down to Nagasserut (sp?) and passed through so much suburban sprawl - gas stations, Starbucks, hair salons all the usual crowd that populate the strip malls. I pressed on to the edge of the peninsula where there were crowdy, dirty beaches and tacky outdoor bars with dueling cover bands doing Bob Seger and Sublime, respectively.

I was struck by the loneliness and emptiness of America. God gave the Indians this beautiful land and all they did was fight. They made almost no attempt to systematically study their homeland, to plan for its defense and preservation. And then Europeans killed them all with smallpox and colonization. And they at least set up some Universities. Eventually, we inherited it from the Europeans. It was still beautiful, but what did we do with it? We built some more Universities, but a lot more strip malls and put tacky outdoor bars on the beaches.

Now people who want to save money and avoid disease send the person with the strongest immune system into the George's takeout window to buy chunks of fried octopi so they can eat out of the back of their van.

What is the point of all this? How can a people this far removed from God and nature endure? What can we do?

I am at a total loss. All I want to do now is drive home before the sun goes down so I don't risk an accident being lost on strange roads at night.
