Tugboat Inn - Boothbay Harbor, Maine

We went here to enjoy the Boothbay Harbor Holiday lights and the high light was the boat parade and fireworks. We enjoyed them from our 3rd floor balcony at the Tugboat Inn. Room was very functional with frig, microwave and bathroom amenities. Shower had great water flow. Restaurant was also very nice and I had the baked stuff Haddock as my main. People are nice, rooms clean and functional and location was to die for.

Awesome view. We came up to Boothbay for the first time. The Tugboat Inn was amazing. Our room in the Red Building top floor was like an apartment. Full kitchen, great sized balcony, we saw the sunsets and a bit of the sunrise from the balcony. We already booked for next December. Very friendly staff and we had a great meal sitting in the lounge downstairs!

Stayed in room 127. Fantastic views of the harbor. Room was very clean and adequate for two adults. King Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is small, sink is outside of the bathroom with the coffee maker. Small refrigerator in closet. We would stay at this hotel again.

My mother ran a four star hotel for twenty seven years. I was raised throughout my childhood spending time there so I am fully understanding of how things tend to need to be. Upon arrival I was instructed to park in one area only to have to walk three hundred yards up the street to check in. Checking in was very pleasant and the staff there were very welcoming.

Not more then an hour into my stay, rinsing off due to heavy traveling sounded wonderful. Immediately I scan the bathroom for hygiene. Seven long curly dark hairs in the tub, five of the same hairs around the toilet seat and four hairs plus black filament on the floor scattered. I am a man with a military haircut so clearly that was not from me.

The rooms for the price could be fully updated. I certainly am not one to pick apart my stay or else I could further go on. I also am not someone seeking anything in return for this dismal stay. Simply wish the available rooms were better for the people pouring their hard earned money into this facility.

It'd been several years since our last stay. The view and location are outstanding and a big reason for our bookings. Although there were no big issues, the hotel is aging. The king bed was very comfortable but the duvet was too heavy and warm for the season. We don't like to pump up the AC just to offset the warmth. We removed the duvet and used some light weight blankets we brought with us instead but blanket options would be nice. Room and bath were very clean. TV was good and channel availability very good as was the WIFI service. Ambiance, service and food in the restaurant was very good.

Great little hotel in Boothbay! We got an end room which was right on the water. Beautiful views to watch sunrise and sunset from your room or deck outside. The room was a little small and the bathroom was tiny, but it was clean and the king size bed was very comfortable. Will definitely return!

We stayed in room 403, which was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. We stayed in the first floor which was very nice because we didn’t have to carry our luggage upstairs. 2 Adirondack chairs and a table were just outside each room and the view of the bay was amazing!

Our dinner at the restaurant was wonderful. It was busy when we were there but our waiter worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed - he was extremely efficient, kind, attentive, and professional.

Only issue with stay was parking…the lot by our room/building was full and we had to park in the lot on the other side of the restaurant which was a little inconvenient, as we needed to walk with our luggage on the street for just a bit.

I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for our trip to see the Gardens Aglow. Holiday light show. The staff was very friendly and accommodated our room request. Although we were only there for one night, I would definitely go back to experience the restaurant as well.
