A unique experience, the staff here will educate you on Kava or Kratom fully before you try a drink. They have mastered the flavors and have invented drinks that can knock your socks off figuratively and literally.
The Den isn't just a place to grab a healing beverage and find other healthy alternatives for what ails you, but it's the most diverse and safe place in Rome for anyone who has social anxiety. A cure for lonely if nothing else. A lot of really good friendships have formed due to its existence. It doesn't matter who you are, stop in and grab a drink, try something new, or, have their most underrated old staple, a coffee, and people watch. Also, find their calendar of events, there is always something fun going on.

Super chill yet inviting and definitely enjoyable. Went twice in a one week visit and would have went more had there been more time. Rome will be my home soon enough and this will definitely be my regular go to spot.

Strap in, folks!

I don’t make it out here all the time, but I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts. The drinks here can be a bit on the pricey side, ranging from $10-$15 depending on what you order and any add-ons. However, from what I understand, kava isn't exactly cheap to produce. That being said, the owners are incredibly generous and offer a free shot of kava to first-time visitors, which is a nice touch. The staff is laid-back and friendly, always willing to chat or let you swing by just to say hello.

As someone who values sober spaces, I really appreciate this establishment. It's rare to find a place where people in the LGBTQ community, and anyone really, can hang out without the pressure of alcohol. It's a much-needed alternative, and I’m grateful this spot exists.

Let's be real—it's easy to blow $40-$50 at a typical bar, especially when you factor in gas for a trip to Atlanta. Honestly, I haven’t found a regular bar here in Rome that I'd consider "good." But this place? The vibe is fantastic, and most of the regulars are super friendly. Plus, you’ll leave feeling great—no hangovers or regrets!

Big shoutout to Hayden—he’s my favorite staff member and always makes my experience top-notch. If the owners see this, let him know he’s doing an awesome job!

I have been here before and had the Kava drinks. I have also done the oxygen bar. I enjoyed both. Today, I took advantage of self care Tuesdays and did the salt cabin for $20. The other days of the week it is $30. It is a 40 minute session. The salt diffuser cuts off when the time is up. There are salt lamps for feet in the cabin. There is a dial on the power cord to turn down the heat level. The seat also has a controller for heated seat and massager. It was a nice relaxing experience.

We finally had a chance to visit The Traveling Gypsies Kava Den and we were NOT disappointed. The vibes were totally relaxing and inviting.. The kavatender was very attentive and knowledgeable about their products. They carry a large selection of drinks and options to suite anyone's taste preferences. The product seems of great quality! My boyfriend and I stopped in at this gem of a place while traveling to Alabama from FLand LOVED IT. The owners are SO friendly and serve a very premium product. The concept is unique with other holistic offerings such as a salt room/sauna. They had live music which was an added bonus!

I love, love, love this place. I've felt welcomed and cared for since the first moment I set foot in the place. The staff and proprietors are friendly and very knowledgeable, and they are glad to answer any questions about their delicious drinks and other offerings. The atmosphere is delightfully hippie and calming. It's quickly become my go-to hangout place, with clientele of all ages, races, genders, gender identities, sexualities, etc. Everyone is welcome! One of my favorite features is the salt cabin, which is a miracle worker if you are stuffed up with sinus or ear issues. The salt cabin is also just incredibly relaxing. I highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for a fun, friendly, relaxing experience!
