We travel to this location every three months to visit our daughter and family. The staff is AMAZING. Everyone remembers us and so kindly asks how our new granddaughter is doing. The rooms are clean, breakfast good and location is perfect. The only downfall is the mattresses. My husband and I barely sleep when there as they are so uncomfortable. The staff is why we keep returning but if the mattresses are not replaced soon we will have to look elsewhere as we come from the east coast so the time change and jet lag requires decent sleep.

Stayed here for 4 nights and had zero issues. Rooms are well appointed and the free breakfast was delicious and had numerous options. Martin was the most attentive and friendliest front desk attendant! The pool was clean and inviting. Martin also gave great recommendations for sightseeing and local restaurants.

This hotel does not disappoint. The Marriott standards are well respected. I know it is marketed as a 2-start property, but the Marriott standards earn it at least 3-stars in my book. Sonia the manager is responsive, kind, and professional. Lee at the front desk is friendly and professional. The hotel is clean and well maintained.

A Heartwarming Stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriott

My recent 8-day stay at TownePlace Suites by Marriott was truly exceptional, especially considering the circumstances: I was displaced due to a renovation of both bathrooms in my apartment, which, as someone with a disability, presented significant challenges.

From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. The staff consistently demonstrated warmth and genuine care, making me feel valued and comfortable throughout my stay.

I want to specifically commend Briana F. and Dawn H. for their outstanding service. Despite my fixed income preventing me from leaving tips, their kindness and attentiveness were truly appreciated. They went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable, offering both practical assistance and friendly conversation. Their efforts made me feel like I was part of a family, a feeling that meant the world to me. I was so impressed with their level of service and attention to detail.

The accommodations were also excellent. My room was fully handicap-accessible, featuring a spacious shower suitable for a wheelchair. It also included a fully equipped kitchen with glass dishes, real silverware, and all the necessary amenities: a dishwasher, cleaning supplies, an iron, a full-size coffee pot, paper towels, a stovetop, and a microwave. There was also a well-organized closet and even a laundry service option.

For added convenience, there's a designated Uber stop for grocery runs, and a mini-market on-site for light cooking needs and cravings. I was also able to enjoy the pool with a view of the Fort Huachuca mountains and a full grill and patio area, perfect for gatherings.

And the best part? My beloved dog, Baily, was warmly welcomed by Marriott and its staff. She seemed to love it there too!
I understand people want to see the pros and cons when seeing reviews. I have to say looking back at my stay I can't think of any frustrating cons. Wait, ok there may be one that could be fixed with a simple engineering adjustment. My room is next to an exit hallway/exit door. Other customers (unknown to them) came in and out unloading late at night as travelers do and leaving first thing in the morning .That exit door heavily closes and loudly closes. Not slam. Just a heavy heavy close which will wake light to moderate sleepers. The door does have a slower close but definitely not slow and lightly enough. I'd imagine this might cause a customer to ask for a room change. Again an easy fix.
Another con might be that there is cable but limited access. There TV'S are a bit dated and small.
I forgot the wifi and pvt and public Internet is available free.

Marriott, you've hired top-notch staff. Thank you for providing such a positive and supportive experience. I felt completely at home and would highly recommend this location.

Hotel is as good as any TownePlace suites. They're not the friendliest with honoring veteran discounts like most Marriotts in the country, they also charge my credit card for my dog when I clearly stated it was a service dog and I've never had an issue at 20 other Marriott properties. They did correct the mistake, but I didn't want to deal with the hassle in the first place. All in all, don't bring a dog here, and you'll have a great experience

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. MOST LIKELY A BED BUG INFESTATION AND DIRTY ROOMS. STAY AWAY FROM BOTH MARRIOT HOTELS IN SIERRA VISTA

I checked into the Townplace suites on September 7th 2025. Seemed like a normal hotel. They were kind enough to upgrade my room to a double suite. I was thrilled to hear that after my plane ride. Once I got into my room though it was kinda gross. All old and worn down & outdated kitchen equipment and utensils. The furniture was old like it had been sitting there since the early 2000's and trust me it reeked like it has been there since the 2000's. The whole rooms smells like a thrift store.

I was originally there for my girlfriends birthday. I flew in from Tucson and took military leave in order to come see her. For the quality of the furniture and the room, odor, and the price of this hotel is not worth it. If you're looking for a hotel room with a kitchen STAY ELSEWHERE.

The real disgust happened the day of September 8, 2025. My girlfriend had spent the day with me. We were watching TV in my room when she noticed something crawling on my pillow near my head. We both jumped out of bed to find the bug in the attached picture. We were in disgust. We photographed everything and took videos and I even emptied a water bottle to catch it in to show the hotel staff.

We showed them and they told us to put up a complaint with the manager. They still charged me for the full amount of the room for the night of the 7th-8th. They said they could put me in a different room and and out of disgust I didn't even want to be in that hotel. I asked to be put in the other Marriot in town and as stated THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE NIGHT I SPENT THERE (which was around $188.68) and after finding a bed bug in their hotel THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE FAIRFIELD MARRIOT STAY.

The Audacity and lack of customer service is putrid at both establishments and I have another review on the same trip about the Fairfield stealing my $120 shirt I left behind. Please see the review on their page as well.

Anyways after my girlfriend and I were disgusted we were packing up and decided to check the rooms for other possible bed bugs to see if any of my stuff was infested. My girlfriend checked behind the mattress and there was a spider crawling behind the bed as well. We have a video of the bug crawling in the bed but the video wouldn't upload so theres a screenshot below. Besides her birthday party we spent the remainder of my time there washing all my clothes and heat drying them so our trip was ruined and spent most of our time doing chores and canceled our Tucson plans.

We were disgusted and left. Mind you all, the hotel just told me they would contact pest control. I was never offered a refund, a free stay elsewhere, Bonvoy points or a Bonvoy points refund. Just know that this hotel does not care about their guest and if you have bugs crawling on you while you sleep or get infested their reaction is "Were sorry to hear that, here is your bill!" I have full intention of pushing my issues with this hotel to Marriot corporate. How can you feel as if you can charge nearly $650+ (My total cost) for 3 nights at a bug infested hotel. I obloge everyone to STAY AWAY from both Marriots in the Sierra Vista areas. Their customer care and support is poor and do not care about you, they just want your money. If you want an equal quality furniture, Customer care, and bed bugs go check out the Motel 6 at least you can save a couple bucks and they might refund you.

Uncomfortable beds, very basic hotel. Aged. Breakfast was just very ok and not kept stocked. Breakfast worker reminded me of Roz from Monsters Inc and had the same personality. Very minimal toiletries… hotel seems to be cost cutting as much as possible despite not being cheaply priced. Thin walls.. hear everything even cars starting in parking lot. Shower made a loud whining noise with low pressure. Nothing extra for being a gold elite member.
