Great location right on the water. The ahi tuna nachos were divine. Plenty of tuna and very reasonable. Service was good even when they were busy. Walking distance from our hotel made it even better.

First time coming here and it was okay. For the pros- very much enjoyed the outdoor seating, the place was nice and clean, and the waiter was also very friendly. My husband enjoyed his redfish po boy. He's never tried redfish before and he got it fried.
Cons- my food. The fries were cold and just okay fries; Nothing special about them. The burger would've been super delicious if it didn't have this weird funk to it. It was as if it was cooked on the same griddle that they cooked fish or something. I wanted to love it, and it was juicy, but every bite had a weird after taste that I needed to drown in ketchup. Lastly, we ordered waters and both mine and my husbands had some weird taste from what I'm assuming is the tap the water comes out of also has lemonade or something else that comes out of it because both our waters also had an aftertaste.

One thing I wanted to add- I wish the menu had more items. All of the baskets were seafood (a chicken tender basket would've been appreciated) the tacos were all seafood as well. Outside of seafood it just didn't seem like there was enough variety because nothing stood out to me whatsoever so I defaulted to a burger. Even the wings did not offer an enough options flavor wise. A lot of people like seafood, but when your the oddball that doesn't, I wish there were more options for them.

I truly enjoyed my outing to Tipsy Tarpon. I had no idea that this really cool place was tucked away right off route 19. Got lost a couple of times trying to find the entrance to the parking lot. The directions say 2nd avenue I believe. The road is not marked on that side. It just has a big sign saying private parking, unless I missed something. But eventually after I had tried everything else I went down this road and found it. It is a very nice little place. They have an indoor area for people who want something over their head, and they have an outdoor area right on the water which has beautiful views. It also has a stage and as I suspected they had a band show up a little after we sat down. I enjoyed the band a lot since I could actually hear the music and talk to the person I was with. These people actually understand that customers like to have a conversation sometimes while the band is playing. The band was very good. Definitely worth listening to. But not too loud. Just right. I was able to order a draft beer from a local brewery and the chicken wrap sandwich I ordered was also very good. Our server was very sweet. Very personable and efficient. I would definitely recommend this place. We got there early and got an outdoor seat under the tiki umbrella very easily. It did fill up pretty quickly after we got there. I would definitely suggest coming a little bit early if you want a seat outside. Great food, beautiful view, and nice people. What more could you ask?

Whether you’re visiting Citrus or you’re a local Tipsy is a fun bar to stop by! Fantastic location with tiki style bar and seating. Live music on the weekend afternoons. We’ve come here a few times now for a drink and a bite. Food is pretty decent for a bar type location. Good smoked fish dip. The mixed drinks a pretty pricey unfortunately so it’s not a place where you’d want to have several drinks by any means. You can pull up to this by boat which is always fun!

We have now been to the tipsy Tarvin three times. Twice for lunch and once for dinner overall I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Deb is an excellent waitress and makes you feel good and does a great job attentive. At the bar, we haven’t had the same kind of success.

From a perspective, shrimp tacos are very good, as well as the fried chicken sandwich and I tried the burger today and it was also quite good. I would stay away from the nachos and the catfish They need some work. Interestingly we’ve had coleslaw here that is really really good and other days it’s not. I think they have different people making it.

The views here are really quite nice and as you see from the videos dolphins were seeing several times right there in the bay.

Also, thumbs up for being dog friendly!

I noted a number of reviews from patrons who expressed dissatisfaction with the food and / or service at Tipsy Tarpon, so I had that in mind when I visited my 1st time. I decided to try a simple lunch.
Tipsy Tarpon earns 5 stars from me!

I arrived early in the afternoon on a Monday. The parking lot was full, and the restaurant was fairly busy, so I settled at an outside table expecting I'd have ample time to enjoy the beautiful views and the breeze while I waited. Seven minutes after I sat down, a cheerful server arrived to take my order. Seven minutes after I placed my order, my beverage 🍺 arrived. Three minutes later, my food arrived. So from the time I sat down until my food arrived was 17 minutes.👍I sure won't gripe about that!
My beer was cold; my hotdog & fries were hot and tasty.
I love the location on the water and the casual tiki bar atmosphere.
My experience was pleasant and enjoyable. 🙂 I'll definitely return to try other menu options.👍
