I geeked out a lot about Thunderbolt Marina, because I’ve never experienced a place quite like it. Marinas are like snowflakes, and each have a slew a different amenities. At a minimum, they let you tie up your boat on a sturdy post. At the extreme, they offer you the amenities that Thunderbolt did: a gym, pool, and a loaner car (that was a true first). I’ve never experienced such comfort and amenities at a marina in my life.

I am SO glad I found this marina. I just did a Google Maps search & this one was right off the Intracoastal Waterway so I figured I'd give them a call. They had available transient slip so I booked it. When I arrived they helped me dock (being single handed that's huge.) The service was great. All the employees were really nice. They have a FREE Courtesy car. They have all the expected services (Laundry, Pump Out, Fuel). The showers were clean and in good working order. They also deliver donuts to your boat every Morning (I don't do donuts, but it's a neat tradition & the thought that counts). The docks are all in great shape / well maintained. Probably some of the best I've seen. (No broken cleats, or power pedestals, concrete all in great shape, ramps coated with non slip and no rust in sight). They even have on sight mechanics. Really top notch. I couldn't be happier with my stay and 100% would recommend / return here.

We were very pleased with our stay at Thunderbolt Marina. About 20 minutes to SCAD where our daughter attends. Clean laundry facilities and two shower rooms for both men and women. Close walking distance to a marine store and seafood restaurant.

This marina is top notch. Greg & Jeremy, amongst others, are all over the place to create a wonderful atmosphere from the docking to the departure. We felt at home during the weeks we spent there. Marina facilities are super clean, including laundry room and showers, courtesy car is just the cherry on the cake. If you’re on ICW it’s a no brainer to stop here, if you’re sailing on open ocean, the time to reach the marina from the inlet is a very small price to pay to enjoy the Thunderbolt atmosphere, the wonderful facility and its amazing staff. This place is AWESOME!!! The employees are extremely friendly and the workmanship of their product is amazing as well as fair pricing. If you need any canvas work these are the people you want doing your work.
