Travelled to Boothbay Harbor today for shopping and the Botanical Gardens Aglow tour…wanted to have lunch with a view and found this gem….the service was friendly and accommodating, the menu offered a great variety of fresh seafood, and the pricing was appropriate to value. My friend had the Calamari and Crab fries and was very complimentary of the both portion and flavor. The lobster bisque was hot and creamy with enough lobster to need a fork! Great experience….check them out.

This is a gem on the east side of the harbor. We shared tasty salty fish balls as a starter. Our mains were the seafood chowder and the fried nashville hot chicken sandwich. Both were excellent and highly recommended. Tiramsu for the wife, which she enjoyed. Excellent cocktail for her, and my PBR was iced cold. Service from Audrey was just right. We will be back!

This place is great. We ate there for the first time recently and were really impressed. The food was excellent and the service was great. I’m guessing the low reviews were from previous owners.
Try it and you wont be disappointed, one of the best restaurants on the peninsula.

Jersey is AWESOME!!! Super helpful with Beer selections, GREAT Food, and a “Classic Ol’ School” BAR atmosphere!!! They don’t make ‘em like this anymore! Quaint, charming, fantastic service!

Wedge salad was caked in dressing, could only eat part of it. Burger was ordered medium but delivered rare. Calamari was beyond words bad, maybe under cooked? They did manage to get the crinkle fries right. The place lacked character, not recommended.

We recently had dinner in this quaint harbor town and enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the water. The Whale’s Tale was casual but the food upscale. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The calamari was cooked perfectly and the shrimp risotto was awesome. The seafood pasta was awesome as well. We would definitely recommend it!

Labor Day weekend 2022. Along with exquisite views of Boothbay Harbor from the dining room or the patio, the dining experience was excellent. Under new ownership the new owner and staff were knowledgeable and courteous. We wish them well and look forward to next year.
We also had fun with (BLT with Crabmeat) GreatTime......

My guy and I had dinner at The Whale's Tale last week and it was a great experience! Jersey is very welcoming and has a great personality! He made me a Coconut Key Lime rum drink which was delicious, and my shrimp were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My guy had the Guinness pot pie, which he loved because we'd been eating a lot of seafood. We watched the sunset over beautiful Boothbay Harbor and spent some time by the fire pit/ outdoor grill and sat in Adirondack chairs with comfy heated cushions. Jersey told us they have a BIG tuna tournament in September and they weigh the tuna right in front of the restaurant. You could watch from the patio. This place is definitely worth the short walk or drive to the other side of Boothbay Harbor. Tell Jersey I said Hey (fellow Jersey native myself)
