im writing this review for two reasons. one, in hopes that i actually get a response from the managing company, or someone who can actually tell me what the hell is going on. two, to help people see what their money is going to. i have been a resident since august of 2023. the management company that was here when i first moved in was amazing. this new one that we have is absolutely terrible. my locks were changed without my knowledge, there has been little to no communication about what is going on, the freaking stairwell outside my door is going to fall through in a matter of time, there is a massive bug problem, and so much more. i have put in maintenance requests and called with problems, with no resolution in sight. the only reason that i stayed where i am is because it is the cheapest option. figures that you get what you freaking pay for. if i could, i would move somewhere else. do not stay here.

Worst mistake I have ever made. The imagines online does not match the property at all. Definitely do yourself and favor and take a tour of your actual room.

I came in to a dirty room with fruit flies and spiders in the tube with is also dirty. I know it is a roommate situation but the preferences do not match at all.

I came into a place with panties on the floor , stuff all over and more . When I spoke with the office about the many discrepancies they basically told me that I lucked up and they could definitely show me some worse rooms ( as if that was a great ideal to fix the current issues) there is a lot of excuses being given about how they haven’t had the opportunity to hire termination people and pest control workers. Also how the cleaning should be done ( but it’s not ).

Long story short don’t come here until you come see abs also don’t think you’ll get any help from the office .

I say this as I spray for bugs and starch my hair from being bitten by bugs ... oh and my window wok open.

Absolutely love the staff! They are sweet and very professional. My unit is very nice, repairs are prompt. The only drawback to this apartment complex is the high crime rate. But The Vault, along with the city of Statesboro officials are working to solve this issue with 24 hour patrolling security. Ever since the 24 hour security crime has gone down significantly. My suggestion would be to get a unit on the top floor if you are to stay here.

Quite possibly the worst place I’ve ever lived at. The property is dirty, dangerous and rundown. It’s allegedly student living but there’s full families living there. The one star is for the friendly staff in the office. Avoid living here at all costs

I've lived here for a little over a year now, but I've lived in a couple different apartments in statesboro for the past five years.

It's true crime is an issue. Every complex within a mile or so has issues with that, unfortunately. There is at least one resident officer here however, as well as frequent patrols. I like to stay up late and walk to the store around the corner, and I often see the cops rolling through during those hours which is nice.

Despite that, I do think this place is worth 5 stars. Compared to other more expensive rentals, I've been treated well by the staff. They have never acted in an unprofessional, negligent or uncaring manner towards me.

One of the maintenance guys in particular fixed our sink and dishwasher before we even sent in the request, as he noticed the issue during a basic inspection.

Having roommates is difficult, but the few times I've had some minor issues they listened and made attempts to address the problem without singling anyone out. I haven't had to bring anything major to them, but I can say for certain that my minor ones were not disregarded.

All in all I feel fortunate to have something affordable, because I know that's becoming harder to find across the country especially in the past 2-3 years. I'm gonna enjoy it while it lasts!

This is NOT a safe environment to live at!!! My daughter by far has never experienced something so terrible as living here. I want to start from the beginning. My daughter moved to this apartment complex as to living near Georgia Southern University for the convenience of her being near the campus. But, Let me tell you it is not worth it by any means simply because it is a cheaper option. During the move in my daughter had to deep clean apartment because it looked like no one even took into consideration tenants were moving in. The window of my daughter's apartment was broken and was yellow because of how many old tenants would smoke inside the complex. The smell penetrated everything which drove my daughter insane because she has OCD and it affected her mentally on how terrible it was. That wasn't the only problem, there were wasps nests on the balcony and at the entrance of their apartment, my daughter tried to handle the issue herself but failed because the wasps kept coming back. The other problem they experienced was the refrigerator it never worked properly it kept making her groceries go bad and eventually I took her our minifridge to help her with her issue. Living there for her was an absolute nightmare because later on the washing machine flooded the entire kitchen. It took The Vault 6+ months to get the fridge fixed. the other issue she had was that her window from the move in was broken she put in multiple work orders to be fixed even had a handy man come in just to tape up the whole window. Every time it would rain the room would flood. They eventually had a maintenance person come into say that they would replace the window. Till this day they have not fixed it. Another recent issue is that the building my daughter would stay at was shot up. Her roommates car was shot at and the entire back window shattered. My daughters roommates was offered an out of the lease except her because she decided to come back home and be away from that chaos. She is devastated because she tried multiple times to make it work. I believe my daughter deserves an out of the lease because this apartment complex should not even be allowed to be operating. It is a disaster, I am warning you! The only reason I didn't give the vault a zero star review is because I am forced to give at least a one star review.

This is the main reason our suicide and depression rate are high with GEN Z community lack of support and guidance GEN X. My daughter and her friends rented out an apartment at The Vault apartments in Statesboro, GA in May, was told they will be OK for the Fall/spring school year. Roommate called the office 2 weeks ago and was told the system down and was told she will be able to sign a new lease in 2 weeks. Roommate went into the office July 22nd and was told due to a lease not being signed all three tenants needs to move out July 23rd which is today. There was no emails sent out (because the system was down)I was told they no longer send out emails for renewals they have signs, Well no sign could have been seen by my daughter because once she moved in May she left the campus for the summer, also the other roommates was as not worried about renewing because they all was told they can stay.
I called the office and explained there are three young adults that has nowhere to go for the fall semester and Georgia Southern University dorms are full and there is a wait list.
I explained due to lack of communication can we work out something. I will have them moved out by December. School starts Monday August 12th, and we have three young adults with no where to go.
If we keep turning our backs and not helping our young adults, who do they turn too? EXACTLY. And the system is still down.

As the parent of a student considering this property, this needs to be said. I have visited this property a few times over the past few years due to this being my 3rd child that is attending GSU. I have gradually watched this property go downhill over the course of the last 6 years but my most recent conversations with the new staff has been the best yet. They are consistent and extremely responsive. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with Nicole, the property manager today. She filled me in on the new management and the plans they have for the vault. My kid is excited because of the upcoming renovations to he business center and I like the price.
