My bf & I went here a couple of times during our visit to BI & every time was great! Our favorite meal was the surf burger & fries. We also had the Caesar salad which was delicious & my bf had the lobster roll which he also enjoyed! The view is always the best & the vibes are awesome. The Surf is one of our favorite restaurants on the island.

The view was amazing. But the food was subpar. We got the Ceviche and Roasted Chicken. The chicken was bland and was a small portion. Only decent thing were the beans that accompanied it. Then the ceviche was mediocre, it just tasted like tomato juice. And the avocado didn't taste or feel like avocado, just a weird paste. Food doesn't have to be conventional, i get it, but the execution isn't it, especially for the price.

The Surf is a restaurant located on Block Island, Rhode Island. It has been in business since 1969 and is known for its fresh seafood, live music and stunning views of the ocean.

The restaurant is located on Crescent Beach, and the outdoor dining area offers stunning views of the ocean. The interior of the restaurant is also charming, with exposed beams and a nautical theme.  The bathrooms are spacious and nicely themed.

The Surf serves a variety of seafood dishes, including lobster, fish, and clams. They also have a great selection of pasta dishes and salads.

The Surf is a popular spot for both locals and tourists alike. It is a great place to enjoy a great meal.

I would suggest the clam chowder and onion rings, you will not be disappointed.

Love that you can grab a table and order food from the bar and it is delivered to you. Great views, great service and the food was amazing. Tuna ceviche was spot on and Mahi Tacos were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing afternoon snack or early dinner.

We were looking forward to dinner here based on the great location and a solid menu. Unfortunately, the execution was lacking. The buns on both of our sandwiches were burnt black. We didn't say anything because the bartender was the primary service person (order from the bar, which doesn't bother us) and he seemed super pissed off during every interaction with customers. We just ate the meat off our sandwich and left.

Our overall experience from start to finish was nothing but impeccable. The staff was attentive and friendly. There was a minor issue with our order of Mac and cheese , yet the chef and staff were very quick to accommodate us. They refunded us without a hesitation and were very apologetic. I appreciate it when someone can take accountability, rather than making excuses. For that alone I am grateful . Aside from being super understanding, the chef then provided our table with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies (which were phenomenal!)

-aside from the mac & cheese our table had the brisket, black bean tacos, fish tacos and street corn. I strongly recommend the black bean tacos!

-they clearly care about their customer satisfaction , will definitely return.

Awesome view and while you do have the food at the bar, it is worth it. Drinks were delicious - rum punch and strawberry basil lemonade (vodka) and the food was outstanding. The pulled pork and pulled chicken thigh sandwiches and the summer panzanella salad was so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
