Can't say enough positive things about this place! It's absolutely magical. The location is perfect because you can walk into town, easily drive, or even hitch a ride from the golf cart on property. They have a pontoon boat, kayaks, and paddle boards to adventure out onto the water. Easy access to the beach when it is low tide. It's peaceful, beautiful, and a lovely place to unwind. They provide hot coffee, fresh baked goods, and the newspaper every morning. The staff is very nice and helpful. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, this is your place!

This was our first time to this area and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were blessed with some very nice October days. My wife and out two little boys (2.5 and almost 4) thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Staff were welcoming, exceptionally accommodating, and friendly. The location was impressive with views that are exactly what we pictured for our Coastal Main trip. There were ample amenities, with the water dipping into the upper 50s, water amenities for us were limited to a pontoon ride (which was a lot of fun for the boys) as well as the heated pool which was comfortable on an early fall afternoon.

Staying here in the fall was wonderful. My husband and I wanted a change of scenery for the long weekend, and The Dunes felt like a home away from home. Even though it was rainy and cold for most of the weekend, we were so cozy in our cottage. It’s very easy to walk or bike to the downtown area, but they also have a car or golf cart if needed. They kept the heated pool open for true New Englanders that couldn’t care less about the cold - so my husband got to swim outside in mid-October! The best part, in my opinion, is the daily coffee, pastries, newsletter, and newspapers they bring to your door in the morning. It really got my day started right. Tons of activities to enjoy on the water, like kayaking and a floating cabana.
My only complaint is that the living room and kitchen area felt awfully cold, even when we cranked the heat up. But the bathroom and bedrooms got very toasty. It would also be nice to have a TV in one of the bedrooms, but that’s mostly because we were chilly in the living room and wanted to be able to lounge somewhere warmer. Overall it was an amazing and relaxing experience. Much needed!

Just enjoyed a fabulous long weekend at The Dunes and we couldn't have made a better choice! We have been coming to OGT and Wells for 35+ years and prior to the purchase and rebrand this place was never on our list. There was not a single thing overlooked by the new owner and management team. Our cottage (Blue Skies) was spacious yet cozy and thoughtfully decorated to include all the modern touches while still having that ME beachy feel. We loved the gas fireplace to warm up the adorable living room, the well stocked kitchenette and the two outdoor sitting areas. Every morning coffee/tea was left on our doorstep along with fresh pastries. It was too late in the season to enjoy the pool/pontoon but they are certainly an added bonus. The location was perfect for my group that enjoys a lot of walking (less than a mile to town). The staff goes out of their way to get you anything you need but the cottage layout makes it so you can all the private time you want. Too many hotels/inns in the area go years without making any updates simply because they will fill up regardless, it is nice to have options for people who are willing to pay for a luxurious vacation. We will most definitely be back as soon as we can!

We had an absolutely amazing 2 days here. We've never been somewhere that was so beautifully curated and decorated. Like living in a shelter magazine. Every detail was beautiful in a fresh nostalgic way with some modern touches sprinkled in. Also it's brand new, so no dings or stains yet. The porch was our favorite spot with beautiful dune views. ||They bring to your cottage a very small but quality morning treat. Coffee thermos, newspapers and a baked good from a wonderful local bakery. They also stock the kitchen with tubs of snacks and beverages that are gratis, a really nice touch. ||The kayaks were fun to take into the little bay and cross over to the beach. They also have a party boat that can shuttle you over. We rode bikes into town, not far but you do have to ride on Rt 1 which is full of traffic. Ogunquit is a very busy town! Also a golf cart vehicle that will take you into town. ||The Marginal Way was a great destination very full of people though at 11:30, maybe go early or late? Lots of benches to sit and gaze at the rocks and ocean. ||All in all very pricey, but truly amazing.

We travelled 1,200 miles from Tennessee and found hospitality that the south could aspire too. From "Captain" Laura and her hospitality touring us on the pontoon boat and her recommendation to dine at Rose Cove, the maintenance "gentle"men caring for every request, to the very hospitable baristas, no requests seemed too small or too large for all the staff to attend to. We utilized the kayaks for morning paddles, bikes for town visits, sitting by the heated pool and reading, and wonderful conversations around the evening fire and s'mores. Even enjoyed several of the lawn games provided.||The morning delivery of coffee and pastries along with the morning paper made waking up an anticipated event. The staff's recommendation to eat at the Lobster Pound by passing through the "back gate" was a wonderful dining experience with the complimentary authentic Maine blueberry deep dish pie.||The hospitality experienced each time you entered the Office made one feel like a local. From the moment you arrive until the moment you reluctantly need to leave, is a relaxing and enjoyable experience you long to repeat at the next opportunity.

Our family of 5 had an unforgettable stay here. This was a last minute end of summer trip and it turned out to be one of the most special trips we've had in a while thanks to the Dunes. The property is amazing - ideally located close to town and a popular beach, but situated in a way that it feels like you are in your own world. Everything has been updated and decorated with impeccable taste and attention to detail. There are little touches that make an easy, comfortable stay at every turn. Best of all, the staff and service are exceptional. It feels like the epitome of "great service is felt but not seen". We were consistently accommodated above and beyond expectations, but in a way that felt natural like staying with thoughtful friends who want to ensure you have a great time but don't want to be in the way. I didn't think Maine would be an annual trip for us, but now I hope it will be!
