Awesome bed and breakfast with very nice rooms, like new. Food was awesome and the 5PM happy hour was so nice sitting in the living room with fireplace going. Such wonderful ambiance. The best part was the host Catherine. So kind, knowledgeable and such a pleasure to converse with that we sometimes talked to her probably too long keeping her from other duties. Nice area on the lake with friendly donkeys and other animals. We stayed at the coop room and we will be back.

My husband and I went with another couple to the B&B and all had the most relaxing time. The grounds are absolutely serene and lovely. The rooms and common areas are beyond inviting and comfortable. Breakfast each day, a delicious treat. Catherine, Ellen, and Sharon are the perfect hosts. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for taking such good care of us. If you are looking for a quiet escape from the city, The Beacon B&B is your answer.

Exceptional B&B with large walking grounds with direct access to the lake where you can use their kayaks and paddleboards. The inclusive breakfasts were delicious and decadent and the evenings complimentary wind and charcuterie board were on point. Our room was tastefully appointed and very large with a very comfy king sized bed. Bonus for a private screened porch! The donkeys are fun to watch and the 110 year old fig tree was a key view from our balcony. We can't wait to return!

I'm so glad to have found the Beacon! If you're thinking about booking here, just do it. The hosts are warm and also respectful of your downtime. Charming location, gorgeous home - somehow both exactly like the photos but also nicer. The farm element is a lovely touch without feeling rustic. The inn itself is worth visiting, but to have access to the farm animals, yummy breakfast and snacks, a stunning property, Lake Hartwell, and several porches and pavilions - the owners have really outdone themselves. Don't hesitate to experience it for yourself! I will return 🙂

We had an incredible time for our mini honeymoon at the Beacon. The website does not do this place justice. The hosts are kind and welcoming, the room comfortable, spacious, and clean, the food is outstanding, and the property is HUGE with plenty of natural space to explore and relax. Make sure to say hi to Tag the dog! We hope to go back!

We loved our stay at The Beacon and it exceeded our expectations. A quick drive from Atlanta - it combines the beauty of the countryside with being right on Lake Hartwell. We felt like we were at an adult summer camp. It is extremely kid/baby friendly. The b&b itself was so nice but having the whole place to walk around and explore was just perfect. The owners were so friendly and nice to chat with. A great quick trip from Atlanta to get out of town and see some new sights, it was exactly what we were looking for.

Great weekend getaway from the city.

The property is an excellent mix of rustic farm style and modern comfort. There are plenty of areas on the property to lounge and relax – we loved the screened deck in particular.

Ellen was a great host and made our trip delightful with both the breakfast and local food recommendations.

We look forward to returning in the future.
