My wife and I stumbled upon this Gem last year (2023) during our annual weekend at York. After that stay we planned a family re-union of approx. 19 people and 1 pug. I can not say enough about the attention given to us all by the owners and staff. The location, staff and price was above and beyond. Always friendly, comfortable and accommodating, with a personal touch to every thing that they do. All of us had a wonderful 3 days. We Keep hearing that it is a bit dated, On the contrary The Inn and The Villager are what Maine should be homey, friendly and as clean as the northern air.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Inn Between the Beaches. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality from the lovely manager Adele. The room was clean, and simple. Close proximity to Long and Short Sands allows easy access downtown and the sand and waves. I highly recommend this motel for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat by the sea.

I was happy the owners could squeeze us in when I called and asked about dates, despite minimum nights stay stated on Booking.com site. Arrived and I was surprised to see an “efficiency” room, had a full kitchenette with decent sized fridge, stove, microwave, k cup machine and toaster. There was even a brand new never used hair dryer, and makeup wipes. So easy to have groceries to eat breakfast or any meal for cheap back at the room. No AC was not a problem with provided fans and windows even in muggy July. Pool was nice size for us and our 2 kids, steps from our motel door. Super nice staff with great contactless housekeeping options (I’m happy to bag up our used towels for new!) Five minutes walk to Short Sands beach and boardwalk area. Wi-Fi could be better but got us by, basic cable tv had one kids station. Excellent choice for a few days family beach trip!

We have been going to York Beach annually, for the better part of 42 years.|We have stayed at many places on the long sands strip. This was our first stay here and all I can say is" This is what MAINE is all about Quaint and Friendly." It may be a little dated, but for what we have encountered in the past, this was a find. The people who own this place are the reason why. The rooms are completely clean. The owners Adele and Angelo are always available and willing to please. They will go the extra yard to make you feel at home and as part of their home. The way they have set up their housekeeping is efficient and outstanding, and the location is just right for families with people of various ages. We are in the process of planning reunion for next year and if we are successful, our first choice will be The Inn Between the Beaches. |

I had a fantastic experience. I was in town for a wedding where the hotel block was for $500ish a night, so to find something at the price I did I was thrilled. It was clean, run by nice people, good location, good price. ||My biggest fear with summer hotels/motels is ALWAYS the air conditioning; I absolutely cannot sleep when it's hot. Those suckers blasted cold air all night long; it was heavenly! I slept better than I do at home to be honest. My other fear is cigarette smoke; did not catch a whiff of any tobacco. Completely clean and 100%. ||Location is great, the area it is in is very walkable and was very close to the tourist attractions. It was quiet as well. ||I found everything to be completely clean. It's more barebones in comparison to some other places...but it's supposed to be that way and those other places are more than double the price. ||There was a bed with a normal mattress and pillows, outlets near the bed and behind the bed where I could stick my phone charger, two a/c units, a shower, toilet with sink, a TV I didn't use, a small sink and a little K-cup coffeemaker and...get this...a roof over my head! Like really, when you're going to the beach, how much time are you spending in the room? Go to sleep, go to the beach, take a shower, repeat.|

We were only there for two days (3 separate rooms). My parents room didn’t have enough water pressure to flush the toilet and my brother’s room didn’t have hot water. The rooms were very clean upon arrival, despite looking like they hadn’t been updated in the last 50 years. Location is great (walking distance to both short sands beach and long sands beach). Staff was a bit rude.

This is bates motel minus working wifi,cable and norman making you sandwichs. Location is perfect right in between both beaches and pricing is lower than other beach access hotels BUT having no cell service, no wifi and no cable if you have kids it is not the place to go. If you are staying 1-2 nights sure i guess but if planning a long stay in york id recommend anywherelse

Location is great. Rooms need renovation. The bathroom shower in ours when the person above us showered our entire shower was soaked as the water was coming through the ceiling. Safety hazard and disgusting
