Thai and I

I have been hearing good things about Thai & I in Bunnell and had a chance to stop in for lunch today. The restaurant itself is a small building that sits on US1. I stopped here several years ago when it was a diner and wasn't impressed but that wasn't the case today. We started out with fried dumpings, Wonton Soup and Tom Kha Gai soup with shrimp, (Thai spicy). The dumplings came out first and they were stuffed with pork. The dumplings were fried in a similar manner as Andaman's on US1, (one of my favorites). They were delicious and I would order them again. The soups came out next and they were just as amazing. The Wonton Soup was full of delicate wontons with fresh vegetables and herbs. The Tom Kha Gai soup was filled with shrimp and was extremely spicy! This was one of the spiciest soups that I have ever had at a Thai restaurant . They know they bring the spice here as there's a sign that states refunds will not be given if you can't handle the spice level ordered. We ordered Thai & I Lemongrass with Chicken, (Lemongrass, bell peppers, cabbage scallions) and Thai & I Rama with Pork, (peanut sauce, broccoli, cabbage and carrots). The lemongrass dish was fantastic and had a nice little kick, (even though it was ordered at a level 1). The Rama dish was delicious as well. It was ordered Thai spicy and they delivered. The creamy peanut sauce added a nice sweetness and blended well with the tender pork and vegetables. I'm glad to have finally had a chance to eat here and will definitely stop in again if I'm in the area.

Amazing food! The panang curry was delicious, and had the perfect balance of spice and sweet. The dumplings, edamame and Massaman curry were also very good! The restaurant itself is well decorated and very clean. The staff here are super friendly and I can’t wait to see them again soon!

We liked the pleasant staff, the cleanliness, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. All the dishes were delicious except for dessert, it's beautiful, but sickly sweet rice, I didn't understand this dessert.

Everything was delicious! Tom yum soup, crispy rolls, pad thai, chicken satay, tropical curry fried rice, crispy duck with basil, mango sticky rice… all phenomenal. The crispy duck was the best duck we’ve ever had! Best service too. Everyone is so sweet and helpful. Will be back ASAP! :)

First time at this restaurant. The food was great. My wife had the spicy Pad Thai and I had Thai & I Chicken Rama with Peanut sauce. The amount of spice is rated 1-5. Anything over 3 is really spicy! We shared fried dumplings and Won Ton soup as well. We will definitely be back! Yet it you will enjoy!

Food was OK. Fried stuff was way too Greasy. Perhaps the oil was not hot enuf. My wife liked her yellow curry. My pad thai was OK but cheaper vegetables than expected. Plus, their shrimp is frozen - - in a place where local fresh shrimp is available on a daily basis.

So upset that I've lived in the area for many years and New Years Day 2024 was my first visit. I've been missing out. We saw online that they would be open and even had a free Appetizer with purchase of 2 entrees. Ordered fried dumplings, chu chee duck, and Drunken Noodles. All 3 where outstanding. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. The prices are amazing.
