Was then worst experience EVER ! the staff was NOT friendly and polite with us , the inside of the restaurant smells so bad and the tables was not CLEAN at all !! 1 star to this restaurant , I will never back again .

El peor lugar que jamás he ido , la mujer mesera nada amable y mal educada . La cocina tiene un olor de restaurant viejo que llega hasta los baños sin jabón , lugar NO higiénico. Le doy 1 estrella por su staff PESIMO .

Das Essen wurde sehr schnell zubereitet, und wir waren zufrieden. Das Naan-Brot war ebenfalls sehr lecker. Die beiden Currys waren in Ordnung. Wir hätten uns ein bisschen mehr Geschmack gewünscht, aber es war trotzdem lecker. Auch der Kellner war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wer gerne indisch isst, ist hier sicher zufrieden. We were looking for something different after eating sushi and Mexican food several times. This place was great! The mild dishes were still tasty, and actually very mild. The waitress was efficient and genuinely friendly. We had expected to pay more than our past few dinners, since we were in La Jolla, but it wasn't!

I want to start by saying I truly appreciate the effort that Nepalese restaurants put into bringing Himalayan cuisine to us. However, I was very disappointed with the service today.

We ordered momo, biryani, naan, and chicken tikka masala. While the mango lassi and chicken tikka masala were good, the rest of the dishes fell short.

The biryani, in particular, needs improvement. The rice didn’t taste fresh, the chicken was stale, and for $22, the portion was very small. I’ve attached a picture to show the size of the biryani bowl.

The momo was served cold, and the chutney didn’t taste right.

We spent over $100 on our meal and left feeling regretful. I think there’s a lot of room for improvement, especially in terms of portion size and food freshness.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes changes. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t consider visiting again unless I see better reviews in the future.

Taste of the Himalayas is a hidden gem in La Jolla! The Palak Paneer was the best I've ever had—rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The Butter Paneer Masala was equally amazing, with a velvety texture and vibrant flavors. The service was prompt and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.

The ocean-facing view adds a serene and scenic touch, perfect for a relaxing meal. If you’re craving authentic Himalayan flavors with great service and a beautiful view, this is the place to be. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!

Being an Indian I can say the curry was really good. Specially the palak paneer and garlic naan with cilantro I think is a must. Great place, great food, great environment.
