This is what ppl mean when they say “it’s a hole in the wall & the food is amazing”….I was already sold from the photos from other reviews but I had to experience this for myself. Our Philly’s were flavorful and packed with meat…nothing more frustrating when the bread/meat ratio is off and you end up with NO meat but there was meat falling from everywhere :)…can’t wait to go back, this place is a local staple and I’ll be standing in that line again happily & soon enough. Mr Matt welcomed me and even showed me the quality of meat he cuts daily to make his Philly’s out of the fridge. This place is a MUST TRY…do yourself a favor and thank me later. Those red velvet cupcakes ended up being the best red velvet I’ve had, ever!!!! See yall soon!!!

I met Matt recently. He is a very generous man. Interestingly enough he's also named after my favorite book in the Bible. Matthew. I just want to say thank you and may God bless you. What you did for me the other day is going to help me in more ways than you realize. Covid gave me diabetes in 2020 in since then things have been rough. What you did was truly a blessing. All in all a wonderful hole in the wall experience. 10/10 on food; steak was chopped finely and evenly; huge portions and amazingly cooked on the flattop. If you want a Philly, go to A Taste of Phillie

The best cheesesteak sandwich this side of Reading Market in Philly. Lean, juicy steak cooked perfectly. Fresh rolls, never stale. They don't even own a microwave! What a place like this is doing in Vidalia, I don't know.

A big sandwich, chips and a drink will run you about $15, but you'll get two meals out of it.
It's a cash-only place with almost no inside seating, so plan accordingly.

Great little Mom & Pop type of place with fantastic food. Portions are gigantic, flavor is great, absolutely no negatives about this place. If in Vidalia take the time to stop in!

First time customer and I will return. The value of the sandwiches is outstanding and they were delicious! One sandwich would easily feed two people. Owner and his employee were very kind and helpful. Cash/check only.

I wanted a cheese steak sub. A good cheese steak sub and I found one. I had to go to Vidalia, GA but it was worth the drive.

From the outside storefront facade to the small homey interior, it was a delight. I was welcomed by Ms. Annette Collins and Chef/Grill Master Matthew. Ms. Annette carefully, correctly, and efficiently took my order. With guidance from Grill Master Matthew.

The wait was approximately 10 minutes and the result was a masterwork. Soooooo yummy! So huge!! So much steak!!!

I can't wait to come back and try the cupcakes as well as every other sub on the menu. And I will. This is my second favorite sub shop outside of Dublin, GA's Brian's Giant Subs.

In conclusion, if you're passing through Vidalia, GA, do yourself a favor, stop in and be prepared for steaky greatness.

This place is small but mighty. I came across this place while in town visiting. If you blink twice you will miss it but don't count them out. This had to be one of the BEST Phillies I've ever had. Not only was it flavorful it was also HUGE! You can easily feed two people. I placed my order at the counter so there was about a 15 minute wait (well worth it for hot, fresh food)so be prepared to wait unless you call your order in. There is also a cash only policy. If I'm ever in town again, I'll definitely return.
