My wife and I attended our niece's wedding at Tarry A While Resort. The venue is beautiful, and the staff is incredible. My mother is in a wheelchair, and the staff were so accommodating. The only thing I would love to see is a handicapped accessible bathroom on the grounds. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience. They work hard to make sure your special day is special. (p.s. We drove in for the wedding. We did not stay in one of the rooms.)

Just returned from my daughter’s wedding at Tarry A While. From the moment that we arrived until the time that we left, we were treated fabulously and never had one complaint about anything. The staff was accommodating, sincere and always looking to help. The food at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding ceremony was delicious and left everyone pleased. We could not be more thankful for their outstanding efforts. Five stars plus !!

It is not possible to explain in writing how absolutely amazing this location - and staff are. We had our son's wedding there Labor Day weekend. Magical, flawless, romantic, efficient, well run - any terms of endearment you want to use will apply.
The staff is tied into an owner operated culture that makes guests feel like returning family rather than strangers attending an event in a facility.

We will go back form our summer vacations with family for as long as we possibly can!!!

Our flower farm, Eastern River Farm, recently worked as part of a terrific vendor team on a September 2023 wedding at Tarry A While Resort. Our team was blown away at the incredible accommodations, friendly, creative and flexible owners and staff, and amenities at Tarry A While Resort!! We felt immediately welcomed by the kind and warm people who work at this venue, but also at the venue itself!! It is simply breathtakingly jaw-droppingly beautiful, and quintessential Maine, from the gorgeous lake views to the incredible waterfront area, the renovated 18990's Victorian home, the beautiful hand-built timber framed gazebo built by the owners themselves...the list goes on and on! The views!!! The people!!! The accommodations!!! Unbelievable and the highest quality around. Tarry A While was one of our very top favorite places to work!!!

Beautiful setting and magnificent sunsets! Been going to lobsterfests annually with local friends. Quality of food is good considering the fests are a mass feeding. Cost is now up to $65 for 1.25 to 1.5 lb lobsters. Only complaint is bar service for this event. Drinks are substandard and long lines. Again, the shoreline setting is what makes the experience!

Stepping into this quaint, quirky, historic inn took me back to the days of my youth - a time when days were long and filled with fun. We first stayed in suite 9 and 11, which were two rooms that connected with a door. The rooms were charming and the beds were comfortable. I loved the extra touches like the old suitcase that was used to hold the towels in the bathroom and the sinks that were in each of the rooms in that suite. We slept with the windows open on the first night, and listening to the sound of the rain was so soothing. I honestly felt like I was a kid again sleeping in my Grandmother’s home in Erie. Room 11 has a window above the bed with a lovely view of the lake. |There was a problem with the AC and our last day was unusually hot for Maine, so Donna switched us to some beautiful rooms on the second floor of the inn. Each of those rooms had a private bathroom, so getting ready for the day was quick and easy. Those beds were also very comfortable. Room 5 has an amazing view of the lake and overlooks an area which would be Devine for a wedding. |There are a couple of things that made this inn a wonderful place for us. First, we love historic properties, and the inn was built in the late 1800s. That means doors and floors may squeak, and some things may not always work as they do in a modern hotel. For us, this adds to the charm of the place. Donna and the staff at the inn bend over backwards to ensure that their guests are comfortable. |Second, the amenities are fabulous. This was our first trip to Maine. This was the first time my children used a kayak. This was the first time my children swam in a lake. They loved every minute we spent down at the lake. We never had the opportunity to use the building with the games, but we were only there for a few days. The inn was about 35 minutes to Conway, NH and about 75 minutes to the Portland Head Light. The town of Bridgton is delightful and the inn is a quick drive away. |Finally, I was amazed at the friendliness of everyone we met there. Donna welcomed us as if we were family. Every staff member and every guest we encountered was kind and quick to share a smile and sometimes a story. I can see why people return year after year. This is a perfect place to create magical Maine memories.

Beautiful Inn with views of the lake and mountains. Our family (all adults, but kids would like it too) spent the days by the lake. The Inn provides a private beach beside the pristine lake. We relaxed in the adirondack chairs/chaise lounges, enjoying the view and our picnic lunch. We had fun using paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes which were provided by the inn. We loved sitting on the porch and playing croquet on the lawn. in the evening, we sat around the fire pit and toasted marshmallows. The inn is simply beautiful and immaculate with friendly and helpful staff——the stay was perfect.

Wow - what an incredible place Tarry A While is. I will be forever grateful to have found this gem because celebrating our wedding weekend there was an absolute dream. Working with Roseana and her team was a joy, and I cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make the weekend perfect. Everything ran smoothly thanks to their hard work and attention to detail. It seemed like any request I had they could make possible. Every single guest commented on how beautiful the space was, how delicious the food was, and how well everything was kept and run on the property.

My family and I are already hoping to return in the years to come. If you are considering having your wedding here, or simply just visiting for a vacation, don't think twice - DO IT!!
