My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and my birthday in December 2012 for one night at this B & B. I had no idea where we were going because it was my wife's turn to surprise me. She did good. we stayed in Katie's Suite and the room, as well as the rest of the building, were clean and well kept up. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the rocker and the view of Lake Crescent. The hosts, Amy & Jeff, were very hospitable.. Jeff had been installing Christmas decorations which brought out the holiday spirit. Our breakfast in the morning was excellent. They mentioned they have a Sunday brunch the second Sunday of each month (reservation required) and I am sure it is very good if it was anything like our breakfast. I would return to this B & B. Crescent City is a nice small town so don't expect a lot of traffic. My wife and I have been to the city's Catfish Festival in the past and it is a fun event. I forgot my camera and couldn't take photos but their website has ones that truly show the home as well as the history of the building.

We called this B+B on short notice and they took us in with no problem. The room was comfortable as decorated beautifully with many period pieces as well as modern conveniences. The owners Jeff and Amy were gracious, very accommodating and the food was so good. This place is like stepping back in time and is so awesome to see and enjoy. We will be back and I recommend it to anyone who wants a great experience and great hosts. Don't be afraid to ask for anything to make you stay better, the owners will do all they can to help. We loved staying at the Sprague House this past weekend! The rooms are beautiful and the house itself is a step back in time to the 1890s. We stayed in the Magnolia Room and enjoyed the extremely comfortable bed. We had coffee and rolls waiting for us in the morning, followed by a delicious full breakfast of our choice at the Waters Edge Restaurant that is in the bed and breakfast. Everyone was friendly and took care of us throughout the weekend. Very nice experience!

Not only is this one of the most beautiful locations in Florida -- this Victorian Bed & Breakfast is quaint, filled with beautiful antiques, gorgeous decor, and a real old-time ambiance of days gone by. It is a stone's throw from beautiful Crescent Lake in Crescent City, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Located right inside the Bed & Breakfast is a wonderful restaurant, The Water's Edge, excellent food and you never even have to leave the building! Within walking distance there are more restaurants. You can't beat the location! The curators of this establishment, Jeff & Amy Haston are the best people you could possibly meet, they have a true passion for what they do and everyone I know has been happy with their amazing services. if you're having a party, they're catering services are outstanding! We personally recommend The Sprague House to our friends and family.

What a great place to stay! The restoration and updated, modern amenities are very well done. Amy and Jeff are a delight and extremely helpful with a depth of local knowledge. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner and a true Southern breakfast in the 'Blind Mosquito' restaurant on the first floor of the Inn. The Sprague House has a great location and is just steps from the lake and an easy walk to the Crescent City 'business district.' We'll be back!

The food was good. The server didn't stop to acknowledge our questions, she answered as she was walking away, which is kind of rude in my opinion. When we booked our mother's day lunch with them they failed to mention that they only have a buffet that day (which only had fried cod as a vegetarian option) and they weren't making their full menu.

Ate here while back and the food was great. Very friendly staff. I would have given it 5 stars except they were running out of draft beer. It really wasn't their fault. It was Bike Week and the beer vendor was busy taking care of it's customers in Daytona. My wife and I will definitely be back.

Amy and Jeff at the Sprague House do a great job of making guests feel welcome. Both the bedrooms and the sitting rooms are filled with interesting decorative items, antiques and comfortable bedding. All our requests about bedding (hubby is allergic to down) were taken care of before we got there. We would definitely stay there again. Light sleepers should know that the air conditioning is a little loud when it kicks in, otherwise it was a lovely experience.
