I would give The Spencer Silver Mansion and its owner Carol 10 stars if I could. We stayed in the Carriage House and it was the perfect accommodations for my husband and I to get away for a romantic vacation. The fireplace, massive jacuzzi tub, and outdoor area were amazing and the daily homemade cookies and breakfast were such a perfect start and ending to our day. Carol is one of the warmest and kindest souls we’ve had the fortune of meeting and becoming fast friends with. This place is really a treasure in HdG and we are already planning our next visit.
Oh, and she has crocheted booties for her guests to wear during their visits!

I've stayed at the Spencer Silver several times now. Most recently a girls weekend. We had the best time. Carol is very accommodating. Right away when you walk in the mansion is so warm and inviting. Carol is a wonderful hostess. Her breakfasts are so delish!! Everyday there are fresh baked goods in your room. Every room is cozy and magical. The Spencer-Silver Mansion is truly a gem in Havre de Grace.

Myself and three girlfirends stayed for a couple days to get away in March! It was such an amazing experience and Carol is the absolute BEST host. She is incredibly kind and really goes out of her way to make you feel like you're at home. She makes breakfast every morning and her food is to die for! I can not wait until our next stay here!

Our group rented out the entire house and carriage house for 2 nights while attending a wedding one half block down the street.
Our rooms and Carol, the live in owner, could not have been nicer. The inn is a charming Victorian restored and decorated lovingly with antiques by Carol herself. And She makes a full breakfast every morning! And it’s wonderful. Great experience. You won’t be disappointed.

Such Fun! The beauty of the home and gardens is only surpassed by the beautiful care of our hostess. Carol and her team are so warm and welcoming and understanding.
We very much enjoyed the hospitality of the delicious breakfasts. The venue is well appointed with everything we needed for a wonderful wedding weekend. The whole town is so festive and friendly. An all around enjoyable experience *

When you think of a bed and breakfast, this is what you're thinking of. This beautiful historic home is beautiful and beautifully decorated with antiques. Your hosts truly care about the home, history, and making your stay the best it can be. And the food! Delicious sweets in your room, and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Excited to keep coming back!

We had the best experience in this gorgeous Victorian home on Halloween, no less. And yes I'm pretty sure I had an "experiance"👻. Carol is an amazing person and you can see she puts her heart into all she does. Breakfast was homemade and delicious, our surroundings were full of exquisite furnishings and just being in the house was an adventure I'll never forget. Thank you Carol if your ever in San Antonio look us up.
