We visited for the 1st time on February 22, and they had a yearly event. It was free admission, were giving away trees 🌳, few jewelry and food vendors, they had face painting 🖼 for kids. We enjoyed the interactive museum and the outdoors park plenty of picnic tables to sit and enjoy a sunny day.

Very educational! Lots of displays with plenty of information about forestry and how trees are used to make every day items. It was very clean! Stuckie was definitely the main reason we went, but my family enjoyed exploring both floors. Plus, there are several outside activities and a large playground. There are several animal displays with real taxidermied animals that show different types of wildlife in different areas of the South. Several of the displays are interactive. There is wheelchair access at the entrance and to get to the outdoor areas. There is a public restroom, which was very clean. There is also a gift shop.
Entry for our family of five would have been $14 (5 & under get in free) but we bought a one year family pass for $30.

This is a hidden gem of a place; really interesting if you like old stuff and trees. The mummy dog was both amazing and creepy! Mrs. Dixon was an awesome guide with a lot of knowledge.

Learned alot there. Ms. Bertha was so nice and knowledgable a joy to have as our guide. My 8 yr old and 22 yr old both genuinely loved it as did I. Highly reccomend for field trips or just a fun day out ❤️

This is a local museum of the forestry industry in Georgia. It has never really received recognition for its value. It struggles to continue to exist and would not if it wasn't for individual donors like my family. It could be a great educational tool for the whole state school system and a great promotional tool for every aspect of the forest industry, yet to my knowledge it receives no funding; indeed, it seems to be largely ignored. What a waste. I have visited here numerous times and have yet to experience the whole offering. I bring my grandkids here every chance I get. There are displays of every part of the forest industry, videos, interactive displays, much history---and even a mummified dog in a hollow tree. Two floors of information that will take all day to see. And then there are numerous activities outside to enjoy, plus a short pleasant hiking trail, a retired fire observation tower, an amphitheater, and plenty of picnic area. Don't forget to climb in the locomotive and learn its role in the forest industry.

Awesome place to visit- surprisingly fun! The nicest woman in the world, Bertha Dixon, showed us around. She is full of interesting knowledge and facts. We really appreciated having her there.
We had such a great time. Even the gift shop is great. Everyone should have a mummified dog t-shirt! 😁

Lots of forrest related information.Definitely a one of a kind special little musuem. Good place to take your kids let them explore the interactive exhibits. Stop and see Stuckey the dog!
