Okay to start off the service was horrible was not greeted it’s took me to walk back in my second time to get service it was actually will be my first and last time eating here I order the beef negimaki and found a whole piece of plastic in the BEEF NEGIMAKI ROLLED UP IN THE MIDDLE I AM DISGUSTED 🤢

It took way too long to be seated. I'm disabled and we weren't allowed to make reservations. We waited over an hour. The hibachi chef was awesome. Filet mignon worth every dime! Only yum yum sauce not the normal brown sauce. Great food. Pink panther sushi was delicious.

Went there and many of times with 8 people never got charged a huge tip. Which we always tip good, however they threw a 16.74 tip on a party of 5 people 3 adults and 2 children. The manager lady waited on us and was so rude. We will not be going back to shogun.

Dined in here with one other person. The individual that cooked my hibachi did not cook my food all the way through. The vegetables were crunchy and the FRIED rice was STEAMED. To top things off the chef forgot my chicken. When I informed my server she did not bring my anymore chicken and took $5.99 (i guess the price of chicken) off the bill. I informed her that I in fact did want my chicken so she put it back on and it came out PINK AND RAW. When I asked the manager if there was anything that could be done, she offered me $2.99 off of a $50 bill. POOR service and POOR food. If you are looking for hibachi food, go to Tokyo or Soyumi. I would recommend any other restaurant in Statesboro but here.

Best Sushi in Georgia that’s not in Atlanta. The Nigiri sushi and specialty rolls at Shogun in Statesboro never disappoint. I’ve eaten here well over 100 times and the cooked food and sushi is consistently great. I’ve also eaten sushi all over the state and with the exception of a few high end places in Atlanta this is my favorite spot. Great product for a reasonable price. Shogun in Statesboro is an amazing spot. The waitresses always greets me happily and I always get great service even when they are packed out the door. Thanks for all the great years of great dining Shogun, great job!

One and done!!! I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. I should have listened to the recent reviews, because my experience was TRASH. We dined on Thursday, 12/5/24. Upon arrival the place was practically EMPTY! There was literally ONE tabled occupied in the hibachi section and maybe 3 tables on the sushi side. We were seated immediately. The lady then came and removed the rest of the plates, so we moved seats. She then came and told us to go back to our original seats, 1st 🚩. We moved back to our original seats, our order was taken and we received our drinks. She then came back and said the chef was on the way so we could sit where we wanted... we declined. By now we were done with our salads and chef should have been coming any moment, a little while later a family of 4 came and was seated with us. Ordinarily it would be no problem however since we had been sitting sooo long this was a problem. We now had to wait for this family to place their orders (which included sushi and appetizers) before the chef came out. A party that came in about 20 minutes after we did chef was already at their table. Meanwhile, we were waiting almost 1 hr at this point for food since we had to wait for the additional diners. This was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE due to the place being so empty. They should have been seated at another table.
The food: While the prices are cheaper compared to other, hibachi the food here was HORRIBLE. The portion sizes were very small and the food was flat out nasty. The lobster tail was overcooked, whatever sauce they use that teriyaki is NASTY 🤮. The chicken was overcooked and the shrimp was also ruined with the nasty sauce. The steak was poor quality and lacked flavor. Probably the best thing was the shrimp sauce and the veggies. The rice was hard and lacked flavor.
We took nibbles of our food and ultimately left it because it was disgusting.
