Overall, Shaw’s store at 150 Western Ave in Augusta, ME, offers excellent service with their in-house FreshPass option. I encountered an issue with the quality of the produce being delivered and contacted the store. I spoke with the assistant store manager, Adrian, who not only listened to my feedback but corrected the problem immediately and appreciated the opportunity to improve the services further. Adrian and also Zack, the Ecomm manager, offered exceptional customer service and went above and beyond to ensure that my order was completed.
I bought their Fresh Pass services in December 2024. I have used them multiple times since then, and they have been extremely helpful. The delivery of the orders is also very efficient. Thank you, Adrian and Zack at Shaw’s!

We stopped for some creamer. They do have good sales on a lot of items. They have seasonal items available. There is Osco pharmacy inside the store. A nice selection of fresh flowers. They also have a nice bakery, with decorated cakes for all occasions.

Best shaws around for grocery pickup! The staff are kind and always have a smile on their face. I really appreciate the grocery pickup because it's very fast and I have a lot of anxiety and panic attacks around grocery shopping for some reason so this is a lifesaver!

Went here on Friday at 730ish at night for a large groceries run over 300$, while my trip shopping was okay the checkout process was egregious, absolutely disgusted that there was not a single lane open, so I was forced to self checkout my items for over 25 minutes finding my produce codes and other items that didn't scan. All this taking place while I'm clearly making a fuss about it and my wife even asked a nearby clerk if they could open a line, which they said nobody was available, only to soon see 2 managers and an older lady just standing 5 feet away from me just staring at me and having their own conversations. I won't be shopping here again since I did all the work myself and after 25 minutes of bending down to scan things, bag them, and placing 6 of my bags on the ground so I could get the rest of my items out of the cart ( one of the associates even moved one of my bags out of the way of another registers?!) my back was more than sore from all of that, and I wasn't the only one, another 2 large orders were working their way through it, 2 full hours before closing and no staff?

This store is so frustrating sometimes.
Every time I find a product I can safely eat, THEY STOP STOCKING IT. In fact, they rotate out A LOT of items, never to be seen again. It would be nice to see some consistency, besides the prices always going up. I understand inflation, so I'll still give them 3 stars. And I'll probably keep shopping there, since it's close to me.

Some improvements are definitely due.

Another MAJOR ISSUE, which may not be their responsibility: the parking lot is very dangerous. The exit is a total blind spot, with both sides COMPLETELY BLOCKED by TALL planted ornamental grass and flowers. WHY?

I really want to like this store. When their stuff is on sale, they have good prices.. If not, just seems expensive.. The store is clean, men's bathroom, not so much.
