Stumbled across the little stretch of beach. Was nice views. Cold cloudy fall day otherwise very nice. Wish they had some details of what was in that area. the remains of old wharf and buildings.

Pleasant, relaxing beach. Parking lot isn’t large but it was only 1/2 full on our visit. The only facilities on site were a porta-potty. Beach has small areas of sand but is mainly shingle and larger stones. There are some old pier pilings and foundations in a small area on the beach. Water wasn’t too cold on our visit.

Beach was very beautiful, sand was 3 stars in places it was very nice sand but in most the area it was sand w alot of rocks on it which honestly saddened me bc I saw so many reviews I was very excited. I did like they had a porter potty with four young kids that's always a plus. Very limited parking lot so try to b early.

This place was really nice. Although walking the short path to the beach we encountered a snake sunning itself. I did manage to get a few nice drone photos here.

Lots of parking, so much space walk, play and hang out on the beach. The water is super cold but you can swim! The tide brings in some cool stuff too like crabs & various shells. The only downfall is that most of the beach is quite rocky and the sand is too. There is also a trail with a very easy little hike near the beach. Its a fun place to bring the kiddos for a picnic, a swim & to explore. 🌊

There are also porta potties in the parking lot.

This is a nice spot w/ good views, but for someone from FL this is a rocky beach, not a sandy beach. We went swimming in Old Orchard ME two days ago & the water was a wonderful temperature, but the water at Sandy Point was pretty cold even for July. We had fun wading & skipping rocks. I defintely recommend shoes for those w/ anything but the toughest feet.

Nice quiet beach with more sand than rocks, which is a plus for me. Water is terribly cold. I went in for like a minute, and then I was out. My kids were more resilient and played for hours. We can see the Penobscot Bridge from the beach, which is a nice background.
