Cramped classrooms. My head hits the ceiling in the back 1/3 of the room. A huge support beam is dead center in the lecture hall and it blocks the board. Gum under every desk. Hot in the warmer months. Take classes elsewhere if you can.

Great place to hold an event.

This is the building where the lecture hall for most of the early math classes are. It is also the location og intramural sports and ROTC. The lecture halls are big but you won't be able to clearly see the entire board if you are not sitting in the center of the room. Also you might ocassionally hear people playing basketball above you while in the classrooms.

There was a hill nearby Armory. It is really dangerous to go there after 7PM. It is really dark. No street light. There will be bike running down from the hill and hit you down. You'll get brain injury, but the biker has 0 responsibility. (UMD school officers say that).

Lots of room, leave extra time to squeeze through the crowd if you have class in any of the rooms during the day though.

Fine place for athletic event or big gathering. I attended a graduation event. Temperature was very comfortable (not too hot).

Typical location for math classes. Hard to see the board and too much leftover chalk to read what my professor writes. Also way too hot all the time.

Mentored the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps in this building. The University of Maryland campus is beautiful, but parking is a bear. Suggest that you plan a visit here with parking at the top of your list.
