My wife and I decided to try prime cuts for the first time and unfortunately, it will be the last time. The atmosphere was not what I was anticipating however, the service overall was pleasant. The food on the other hand has a lot to be desired. my steak was undercooked and cool when it came out and my wife’s steak was overcooked. It took an hour for us to get our food. They did re-cook my wife’s steak and I just ate the one they brought me initially. The flavor was OK but left a lot to be desired. I had really hoped for a better experience as I’ve heard several mixed reviews however unfortunately, that was not the case. Bull and barrel is well worth the drive to Statesboro than to experience this subpar steak restaurant again.

Stopped by for dinner on 1/11/25. Party of 6. Drinks were weak compared to the price that was charged. Got the truffle fries.. they were regular fries. Food is over priced for what you get. I got asparagus for a side and only 3 on the plate.. my steak was cooked to almost well when asked for a medium rare. Auto gratuity for sub-par food, drinks, and service. Will not be coming back.

It was ok. For the price it was not exceptional. Our cost for dinner was $143, and for that amount of money in our area it should be amazing. The steak was good, the mashed potatoes were barely flavored, they were supposed to be garlic, there was not enough Garlic in the potatoes for me is to notice, had to send them back to the kitchen, they were cold. The salad was a disappointment, I ordered a salad and there was no flavor, hardly any dressing, the croutons had no flavor, the presentation was thoughtless, I didn’t want to eat it the moment they sat it down I front of me. The waiter bringing the salad walked up behind and me and served me from behind, he didn’t even walk around to the front of the table. I never saw his face, so weird. As a matter of fact I turned around to see who it was and he was walking off. My husband ordered the sampler and none of his steak was cooked correctly. The other person with us, who paid separately, on her own ticket ordered a Wagyu Burger, the menu stated that It came with caramelized onions, and being it was stated on the menu, and since she likes caramelized onions, she asked to have her caramelized onions on the side, her waitress took her order and when the food got the table her hamburger was so hard and over browned and there were no onions. She asked another waitress to let our waitress know that she was missing her onions and this waitress told her that caramelized onions were no longer offered with that burger but that she would go back and ask the chef would he fix her some, the waitress then came back and told us that the cook said he didn’t have time to make her the onions that he was backed up and didn’t have time to fix them. So, our experience was not the best, the restaurant was not crowded. Over priced and not worth it. We will not go back.

Everything was amazing and delicious as always... from the complementary crossiant to my elk chops. It's a bit pricey, but it's definitely worth it. I had the macaroni and cheese with bacon, asparagus, and elk chops. For my drink, I had their white peach sangria.

The dinner rolls are nice and soft. The truffle fries are out of this world! I had the salmon over creamy lemon and garlic sauce. It was all very tasty! The salmon was nice and pink and had a delicious taste, but just slightly over cooked. The staff was very friendly and I love the decor of the place! Definitely worth visiting!

Rather high end for Lyons. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Make reservations. The smoke was a bit over powering on the elk and the steak platter. Lobster ravioli was a bit flat, as were the sides. I would have liked to have seen a better cook on the steak. Creme brulee was delightful!

Had the peach chicken. Kind of rubbery and I lost any taste of peaches. Good salad, very good coconut cake.

Great steakhouse to be out here in the sticks. The Colette is my recommendation. A little pricey but worth whatever you spend. BEST in house steak sauce I've ever had, and I just tried it because I didn't need any.
