I stayed on the marina and it was glorious. The scenery was wonderful and there were so many places to go and relax and take a swim. No sandy beaches which meant they were quiet and peaceful. For a getaway, it was just what I needed

If you need a quiet place to relax without many people it is nice to be there. As you are at Tenerife the is usually a beach with black lava stones. So you have to be careful of the sun and it would help to get you some bathing shoes from the shop above. Families with little children should be especially aware of this. If you take a few minutes to walk there are much nicer places to lie down and rest than in the beginning of the beach. At the marina of Amarilla Golf you even have a wonderful little bay with light sand as well.. you just have to pass until the end of the right side. There you can watch fish and different birds and take your children with you without risking them to get hurt because of the stones

Oh, what a pity, they have started to convert the beautiful beach right next to the San Miguel Marina, Golf del Sur, Tenerife into an even more beautiful stretch of beach. In early 2023 they suddenly stopped working, leaving behind a terrible construction site. Is it a question of problems between the local and the Spanish government? Did they make severe construction mistakes, not observing the necessary protection of coasts? Can it really be that the Cabildo of San Miguel leaves one of the most beautiful ocean stretches of the island as ugly as it is now for so many months, hindering people from going swimming in the Atlantic Ocean as all the years before?

It is a small cozy beach by the marina. Black sand. It has a free parking nearby. Not too many people
