This preserve was a delightful surprise. It is densely wooded, with a lot of evergreen trees and ferns. You end up at the shore. It is a very flat walk, and very beautiful and peaceful. No one was there but one other couple, so it is quiet and just so lovely.

This is a lovely half mile walk (round trip) through mature Maine coastal forest. There are some steep trail sections and some swampy areas, but the trail is fairly well maintained. It comes out on a beach with a view across the mouth of Rockland harbor and up the bay towards Rockport and Camden.

I'm giving this a moderate rating as the section of the trail down to the beach is quite steep and requires a bit of scrambling to get down and up. There is a rope set up along the trail there to help. It's well worth the effort.

Great little hike through a wooded path that spills out onto the ocean. The walk includes moss covered rocks and pine trees. There is a short but easy drop at the end that has a great view of the water!!! Mid to low tide might be the best time to visit!

Great little trail. Good views of the bay at the end. Not easy hiking if your looking for a paved trail. Parking extremely limited, may need to park on the road.

Short trail, wonderfully designed. It has delightful little wood bridges and it's incredibly peaceful under the canopy. Nice water overlook at the end

Enjoy a walk through shady woods down to the water front. The path is well marked with painted blazes on the trees. There are sections of bog bridge. A steep and rugged path leads down the hill to the beach. This last section is only advisable for the most sure footed.

Nice little hike that opens up to a private beach. Our boys (ranging 2-13) had no issues with the hike, just watch your steps getting onto the beach.
