We had such a wonderful experience at the Pilgrim's Inn from start to finish! We enjoyed a stunning wedding that was carried out perfectly. The property is beautiful, the rooms have everything you could need and lots of charm, and the staff was so helpful, hardworking and kind. Our kids had the best time playing on the little swing set and exploring other little nooks on site. We also loved being able to walk downtown. Not to mention, every meal we had was amazing!! We feel very spoiled and relaxed after our stay. We highly recommend Pilgrims Inn!

We were looking for a place to relax away from crowds, and stayed four nights at the Pilgrim’s Inn. It is in a beautiful setting by the lake and was peaceful and quiet. It was nice to sit in Adirondack chairs and read all afternoon. We enjoyed exploring the island, visiting the artisan market, a farmer’s market, Stonington Historical Society buildings/museums, the Granite Museum, and several restaurants in Stonington. We also made a day trip to Blue Hill. If you are looking for a lot of shopping, this is not the place for you, but if you are into exploring and experiencing local life there are things to do and beautiful roads to meander down. The Pilgrim’s Inn innkeepers are service-orientated and very good at what they do, which is making guests feel welcome and appreciated. Even though the inn appeared to be full, our room felt very private. We were surprised to see other folks at breakfast, as we had not heard anyone there the night before. We stayed in room #2, which is very spacious and has a large non-working. fireplace. The antiques added to the historic ambiance. It had a lovely view of the lake. It is on the ground level, so it does pick up some noise from the basement tavern below and folks headed to breakfast, but we didn’t mind. I imagine the upper floors don’t pick up those sounds, but we liked the convenience of being on the ground floor level, and even enjoyed hanging out and reading in our room because it was so peaceful.

We had a short but excellent stay at Pilgrim’s Inn on Deer Isle! The history and charm of the Inn make for a unique stay and as old home owners ourselves we loved it. We didn’t get a chance to try the full restaurant on this visit but did enjoy a drink in the tavern in the evening and had a wonderful breakfast before our departure. Lyndsay was an excellent host and I’d highly recommend a stay at the Pilgrim’s Inn if you find yourself exploring the beautiful Maine coast.

My wife and I stayed in one of the cottages attached to the Inn. It was nicely appointed with all the amenities you would expect. Very cozy layout. Queen bedroom, bath next to it in the hall, and then opening to a kitchen/dining area with stove, fridge, etc. There is a nice deck outside the room with views of the river. ||The attached Inn serves a very nice, fresh breakfast and they accommodated my request to have eggs rather than pancakes one morning. ||The shining light of the entire experience was the Innkeeper and owner, Lindsay Schmurr. As a former Hospitality Manager for many years, I recognized all the traits that come with a 5-star experience. Lindsay was adroit in handling unusual requests from other guests and personable yet professional in every metric. I cannot say enough on this point! ||Highly recommend this if you are looking for a quintessential Inn in Maine. ||George Aziz

We stayed here as guests of a wedding at Arogosta nearby. It is a small, charming inn, complete with creaky floorboards, slanted doorframes (from age), etc. The innkeeper, Lindsay, is wonderful, and the inn is well maintained. Our homemade breakfast of blueberry pancakes, sausage and fruit salad was delicious. There is a 24/7 coffee and tea station in the living room downstairs, and they provided a big plate of homemade cookies both days. Free wifi worked well. Our room (#4) was on the second floor. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a private bath with a tub and shower. It was very clean and spacious. We had a very nice stay and would love to return someday.

We were on deer aisle for a family wedding. I reserved three rooms and every one of them was simply lovely! This beautiful inn is a combination of historical charm and modern elegance. The beds were very comfortable with clean crisp linens. The bathroom towels were fluffy, and all rooms were sparkling clean. The. room temperature was just right and adjustable. The air conditioner is sometimes needed in the daytime but at night we could open the windows and enjoy the fresh Maine air. Each morning we had a full gourmet breakfast, which was delicious as well as artfully presented. It was a pleasure having breakfast in such a beautifully appointed, quaint yet modern dining space. Lindsay, the Innkeeper was warm, welcoming, and attentive to all of our needs. She keeps the common room stocked with 24 hour coffee, tea, water and provides freshly baked cookies each afternoon. There is also a communal refrigerator and microwave available. There is a flatscreen TV in this room as well. The guestrooms do not have TVs, which I think is actually wonderful! One can truly get a break from the hustle and bustle of every day chaos. The inn is situated in a beautiful spot overlooking the water. There are Adirondack chairs and a hammock available for a restful experience with a good book or a refreshing nap.|There are Art galleries and gift shops and a lovely coffee shop just steps from the Inn.|I enthusiastically recommend the pilgrims inn and would love to return there someday!

Our stay at Pilgrim’s Inn in Deer Isle was amazing. The grounds are stunning. All of the staff were hospital including direct contact and responsiveness from the owner. Our room was charming and they were very accommodating for our one year old. The food at the restaurant was perfect and highly exceeds anything else we had in Maine.

Pilgrim's Inn is immaculately clean. The views are stunning. The history of the Inn (google The Ark and Deer Isle) is so interesting - This was our second visit and we look forward to returning. The innkeeper is lovely. Breakfast was interesting and delicious - crepes, bacon and potatoes one day and yogurt with granola and blueberries and eggs, potatoes and sausage the next.
