I have had the best experience here. Both of my dogs are older ladies, the staff here handles them with such good care. Detailed instructions, follow ups, and recommendations. Mandi is my girls favorite vet tech there. She is so wonderful with the dogs, remembers their quirks, and playful and helps make the vet a not too stressful experience. 10/10 would recommend!

My mom brought my bichon to get groomed here because our regular groomer was booked…. WORST JOB EVER!!! His hair was EXTREMELY un even and they cut way too short to the point where you were pretty much touching his skin… they claimed he was too matted but when I brought him to daycare the next day the groomer told me it looked extremely rushed and like they put no effort. Which is absolutely true. And I brush him often as my best friend is a groomer. The length wasn’t even that big of a deal to me but the way everything looks so uneven is what upset me so much. His tail looks AWFUL too. I get him groomed once a month and I’ve never seen a job done so bad in the 2 years I’ve had him. I paid almost 100 dollars for my dog to look absolutely botched and rushed. I’m so upset as this will take a while to make his hair look even again. My poor baby. Do not bring your dog here if you want an even and well done cut.

Brought my Doberman Pinscher here to get her nails clipped. She won't let anyone touch her feet. The women who work here are very kind and understanding. She took her time, did a great job on Byrdies' nails. While she was getting her nails done another worker who was passing by saw how frightened and stressed Byrdie was and she took the time to stop and pet, and reassure her that she would be ok! So thoughtful. We will be going back next week for round 2! I was also very impressed by the fact that you can bring your dog in and for something like $20 you can rent a little area where you can wash and dry your. dog yourself.

Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to bring Byrdie to PETCO. While getting her nails done a few weeks ago I purchased a leash. The next day while walking her with it she tugged on it and the leather holding the D-ring broke. I received 40% off the lease when I bought it in exchange for her old leash. I gave the cashier my receipt and showed him the leash and he told me I could exchange it. When I came back with the same leash, the manager was there and she told me I would have to pay $10 cash in order to exchange it! I tried to explain to her what happened and she started to sort through a box of stuff behind the counter and pointedly ignored me refusing to make eye contact or speak to me!! What a rude ignorant person!! As long as this female is manager and working there, I won't spend a penny in PETCO. She should not be working with the public. Now I am stuck with a broken, pos leash that I am replacing with a new one from another pet store.

The reviews of this place being horrible are true, I have participating in the vetco insurance they carry and had words with the manager because staff didn't want to let us muzzle our dogs for vaccines, instead threw gabapentin at us and rescheduled when we could of just puzzled her. I told her I was calling corporate and her response was that she gets back the complaints on her desk anyways. I called petco to complain about the manager and how she was so unprofessional and nobody bothered to reach back out. They treated the animals cruelly and didn't care about the consumer that pays for this monthly Insurance. Go to a diffrent place or just a normal vet that will take care of your animals.

Do not bring your cat or dog here. Go to an actual vet instead please. Sat in waiting room without my pet because of an apparent emergency. The emergency was their lunch. So I waited over an hour in the room for their lunch to end. Only for them to tell me they can't get cat out carrier. They assured me before they have a team back there that can handle cats..apparently not. Lying about a pet emergency is ridiculous. Vet tech said dog at beginning then desk person said cat in respiratory depression..why lie? Go to a vet these people can't be trusted with animal care or are not experienced enough to do so.

I went to buy a new litter box in store at the Smithfield location and it was $15 MORE than their website. They jack their prices way up! This is just shady practice. I left without buying anything. I'll shop somewhere else. Why should a customer have to always negotiate price match and how many don't even realize it and overpay.

Spent hundreds of dollars on fish as well as a full tank setup with equipment and supplies and all my fish died from ich. I came in the next day and they had tanks that they were working on and said that nothing is going on with their tanks when I asked. They can’t help me at all with this and I’m stuck with no fish and have to go to another fish store to buy more now. DO NOT BUY FISH HERE go to another store that properly maintains their fish. Very disappointed that there is nothing that they can do especially after there clearly was a problem in their tanks and the problem was sent to my tank as well, never again.
