This is a clean, convenient, and modern multi-modal commuter rail station with direct bus service! The parking lot was recently expanded (doubled in size) and a building with indoor seating, bathrooms, and security is also being constructed. Pawtucket did a great job ensuring the station is centrally located and accessible. Neighboring apartments and businesses are also being built which will help revitalize the downtown.

This new train station is very disappointing.
There is no restroom. And only 1 bench at the platform to Boston. And although I can only speculate as to why, maybe so as not to attract the homeless, it is disappointing to the riders. Also, there is only an elevator to 1 track, the one going towards Providence.
It is a long haul up the walk path pushing a wheelchair. The ramp is on both sides to go up and down. The elevator is in the middle. So, there is no way to park on the other side to avoid the long haul.

The station looks recently renovation, very well lit at night, nearby bus stop, a standby rotary to pick up individuals and parking for those heading into the city. I haven’t seen a rest room which would make this a five star station.

I usually just pass through on the bus but it's a nice area. They are building facilities for the riders with improved bathrooms and an indoor waiting area. Right now, it's the porta potties.

Wish there were Surveillance camera footage of who picked up my Grey Hard case with my Loupes / Magnification on 1/24/2025 at
6:06 am Central Falls / pawtucketTrain on Track 2 into S. Station. My fault I left it on the bench platform but hands were full and exhausted. I use those for work and my first & last name is engraved on the case. Dental magnification loupes ( Glasses). If you find them please let me know . See pic’s below. They have a prescription in the magnification. They are pink framed. If you find them , please reply. Thank you.

Station was very easy to find, looks great and easy to access. I enjoyed not dealing with downtown Providence. BUT, by the time I got there at 8 am, the lot was completely full. There was no signage for an overflow lot so spent a good 5 minutes panicking that I would miss my train. Thankfully someone said to park in the dirt lot across the street which I did and had to hope nothing would happen to my car. Wish there was a bigger lot but other than that I think this was a great addition. Hopefully they add more legitimate lots. I provided pictures of the lot as well as the dirt lot in case anyone finds themselves in the same situation.
