My sister stayed her for two months undergoing rehab. It was challenging for her but the staff and management were incredibly helpful and supportive. Beyond expectations and with personal concern and care. The rehab techniques and facilities were effective, and meals were good. Again, staff were exceptionally responsive and caring.
I’m writing this review to express my gratitude to the Parkside Center, but also to help those deciding what facility to use. We were given only a couple of days to transfer from the hospital to rehab, and finding the best location was very challenging and stressful. After reviewing our options (many locations in the Atlanta area had no space available), we visited about five potential locations before deciding upon Parkside. Although we had a two hour daily commute, it was well worth it for the service provided.

AFTER 6 STROKES, Bill came from Kennestone Hospital to Parkside. The Staff here has been amazing and very professional. From the nurses to the CNA's, Bill has had excellent care. PT, OT ST are all professional and push Bill to regain what was lost. The food is great, the facility beautiful and even the staff that cleans wear a smile on their face. Bill felt very safe here for his 2 months.

My mom was at Parkside for almost a month. She wouldn’t eat the food and said it was horrible! Usually she’s very easy to please. She really loved the sides and most of the staff. The biggest issue we had was a big issue. My mom’s medication was a constant issue. The nurses claimed to be out of her medication at least 2 x a week. I either had to take meds from home or she went without. She became very sick because they took her off of Cymbalta all at once. Mentally she declined quickly , as it’s a medication that you must be weaned off of- not cold turkey. Even after got it on her record, she constantly missed doses because of their negligence in keeping it ordered. No way I’d send her back there, even though staff was very kind.

I just spent a month at Parkside Rehabilitation with a fractured pelvis. I had never spent that long in a hospital or a facility for rehabilitation. Parkside was an excellent choice by my family. The employees there were friendly and went out of their way to make an unpleasant experience tolerable. The physical therapist there were amazing, while the nurses and the nurse assistants were so helpful making my stay there much better than I expected. The place was extremely clean too. My wife and I am from New Orleans so food is big deal for us. We pretty much only ate in restaurants as we had no time to buy, cook and clean being both self employed artists for 30 years on Jackson Square. The food here compares very favorably to those years.

Place very clean..personnel very hospitable but communication is a definate problem with patient care. Especially when it comes to giving meds late...within 8 days of bringing my husband home his blood pressure was back to normal and his INR was normal..something was definitely off with giving medications..and/ or thier clinical readings

My mom received wonderful care at Parkside. In total, she spent almost two months there (two separate stays). We heard horror stories about other facilities, so I was full of anxiety as we navigated the transition from hospital to rehab. I felt relief within minutes of visiting Parkside for the first time. The inside of the facility is clean and nicely decorated. The staff here is amazing, and I could go on and on about several individuals who made my mom’s stay more comfortable. The first time I met Lori M, she was so warm and friendly and went above and beyond to make sure my mom and I were comfortable. I was so touched and impressed by her care and compassion- she is the type of person you would hope is caring for your loved one at a facility like this. Kerry was also so sweet and patient, and was willing to take the time to sit down with me and go over my mom’s list of medications, one by one, when she came back for her second stay. I was fortunate enough to meet Dr. Hardy when my mom returned to Parkside, and was completely blown away by his bedside manner. He was so patient and compassionate, and we felt like he was genuinely invested in my mom’s well-being. I observed a few OT/PT sessions, and all of the therapists were wonderful. Clearly, I was very pleased with Parkside and I am so thankful we found this facility to help us through what was a very difficult time for our family.

I’ve had a family member here less than 2 weeks and have already had 3 incidents one of which was life threatening and it took 3 times of calling a nurse before anything was done. The staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. They’ve forgotten dinner had we not been done there and asked twice she wouldn’t have ate that night. I’m not sure where this great staff is everyone else speaks of but they are not here at this facility.
