Decent place for the budget. Management is hungry for money and will try different ways to squeeze out money from you. Their lease agreement has a 2/10 score (biased towards landlord). Ryan was rude to me and I guess in general to all Indians. Towing is a nightmare. They don't give out passes on weekends but very actively tow away vehicles.

Haven't heard a single resident talk positively when I was there. Most of the 5 star reviews are given by idiots who fell for a slice of pizza.

Alexis is the only nice person in their team who actually wants to help residents.

You don't get more than you pay for and they will try and nab you for every small detail on the way out. Despite wiping out the fridge, they still tried charging for fridge cleaning which led to months of disputing until it was resolved in my favor. Only go here if it is the only place in your budget as a UMD student

Parkside is a decent place to stay with bad and arrogant management. Especially the manager Ryan is extremely rude and should learn how to handle resident complaints better. I signed a lease for a private room in 2 bed 2 bath apartment and I was supposed to have only 2 total residents. However they paired me with a shared room (3 total residents)! When I called Parkside office to get this rectified I was told by Ryan that he doesn't want me complaining and that it's fine to get it cancelled because a lot of people are ready to sign leases. When I started mentioning my case he said goodbye and hung up on me. This is just arrogant and not what I would expect from a manager. This is just 1 week from my lease start date and I don't have anywhere else to go. Be careful and select an apartment complex with better management. I cancelled my lease, and still haven't received my refund.

Parkside is great. The university of Maryland CS building is pretty near to it. The location is spot on. The apartment are fully furnished. Just the maintenance service is little bit slow. The apartment is clean and hygienic. Also the locality is pretty safe. Stores are also near.!!!!

First let me start by saying Parkside is not bad, IT COULD BE WORST. There have been some issues of roaches. I believe that’s mainly because a lot of people just don’t clean up after themselves which cause the roaches to come back. Honestly a lot of people are okay with living with them. Me personally..I DONT. So that’s one thing to keep in mind here..they gave me a few questions before moving in and asked how clean I was..I was not matched w someone who cleans. Good people but my biggest turn off is someone who doesn’t clean after themselves. Maintenance DEFINITELY ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ NOW THATS OUT OF THE WAY MANAGEMENT: 0 STARS. Honestly starting to believe the workers at the front desk get paid to do nothing. Why can’t yall answer the phone? Or when I have a question about something or need to talk to you guys your never at the front desk? This is the SECOND time they charged ME twice for parking. Which is $75. How in the hell do you make the same mistake twice ? Like it’s pissing me off. If I’m giving you my money the least you can do it make sure you are there to help with any of my questions or concerns..

The parking is crazy. My friend had guest parking permit and parked in visitor parking area. It got towed. When called mgmt they told they need to park in regular parking. It was not mentioned where to park and car beside was with blue parking permit( permanent) also parked in visitor area but was not towed. Mgmt also said there should not be other parking permit which does not make any sense. These guys confused with their english. They should make clear. This everything makes no sense and just want to make money. The towing agency is JJ Towing. Stop looting people. I was hoping mgmt would take some action but nothing.

The amount of cockroaches me and my roomate have had to deal with is borderline obscene. We take care of cleaning the apartment thoroughly. Go out our way to purchase roach bait, don’t leave food anywhere. The sheer amount of German cockroaches is literally disgusting and if I could get out of my lease I would.

Worst apartment complex. DO NOT MOVE HERE! Halls smell like smoke, urine, rotten food, festering trash shoots, and body odor. Residents are loud throughout all hours and management does care even with written complaints.

$2000 for bargain-basement quality of living is robbery.
AND YOU MUST PAY FOR PARKING even when there are only about 20 cars parked in a lot with enough spaces for each resident. This is a college town and that's inconsiderate and deliberately taking advantage of the residents.

Roommates car was actually towed even with the proper tags within date and had to pay nearly $200 to get his car back from impound lot. Management of course pulled out every excuse in the book to cover their backsides.

Front office lost my roommates security deposit and expect him to pay another (we were on camera when paying the deposit on move in day) or face "legal actions." Poor book keeping and management was rude and disorganized.

Maintenance during covid only did essential services which was understandable, but didn't consider my broken air conditioners "essential" or an emergency! Heat index was in the high 90s and I got heat exhaustion in my own apartment and I have health issues/disabilities which get aggravated through high heat, and informed the crew of the necessity of air conditioning. Almost had to go to the hospital from a service that should be covered and prioritized.

On a positive note we only encountered a few roaches and one mouse…low bar but had to add something.
