Es un hotel, estilo boutique, en el centro de Paia, en la calle principal. Hay habitaciones de todos tamaños, tiene un lugar pequeño para estacionamiento, 3 automoviles. No se encuentra en la orilla del mar, pero tiene un camino directo a la playa, donde se puede usar las sillas de playa que se muestran en algunas fotos, pero solo en ese pequeño lugar verde que se puede ver, el hotel te da toallas para la playa, esta playa tiene muchas olas para bañarse bien, pero es muy tranquila y de poca gente, es común ver que incluso practiquen nudismo. Me hospedé en la habitación pequeña, y si que es pequeña, con un baño muy pequeñito. La cama, nada que decir muy cómoda. Puedes elegir tomar desayuno en un café que está en el mismo hotel, pero no está incluido en el precio, los desayunos son buenos, no contundentes, a valores de entre 12 a 17 dólares. Puedes usar computadores que tienen. En lo personal, para ser un hotel, en el centro, que por tanto no estarás todo el día en el porque quieres ver naturaleza o estar en la playa, lo consideré de precio elevado, no sería mi opción, en general creo que Paia no sería mi opción.

El hotel está en un maravilloso puebelecito al lado del mar. Con acceso directo a una playa parcialmente privada donde a las 6PM acuden tortugas gigantes, o no...|Un hotel para repetir y repetir, lleno de magia y encanto

Great location but our $500+/night room was nothing like the photos. The property has been neglected. Dingy, dinged up, unmaintained room. The paint on the doors all around the doorknobs is brown and chipped from dirt and use. The room was furnished with broken down furniture and fixtures. The curtains were stained. The shower looked like one from a bad RV park - old fiberglass with mold in the seams. Lumpy pillows and cheap, rough linens. I didn’t feel clean staying there. Too bad - the place could be amazing with just a bit of upkeep and care.

One of the most disappointing stays at the Paia Inn. The photos on the website do NOT represent the condition of the rooms or the property. They most likely were taken when the inn was remodeled but obviously nothing has been maintained and the entire property is showing considerable wear and tear. Our patio had dry rotted flooring and ceiling with poorly maintained furniture. The screen slider on the main door was rusted and had holes in it. The curtains looked like they had not been cleaned and did not fit the windows. The windows looked to have not been cleaned in quite some time. Patched ceiling with unmatched paint, musty smell throughout the room. The "private beach" has not been taken care of and has wooden chaises that you would not want to lie on. The lobby is clean and inviting but once you pass thru the lobby you enter a very different environment. Had we been able to check out early and move to another property we would have, but full payment is due 7 days in advance of arrival with no refunds. Bottom line....stay somewhere else if you are looking for a quaint, well maintained property!

My husband and I ended up stranded on Maui for a few days due to a flight cancellation. I really like the town of Paia and was looking for something on that side of the island to be closer to the airport then where we had previously been staying. The reviews for Paia Inn were all over the place but we went for it given the location.

I can honestly say I do not regret staying here! If you are looking for a large, fancy hotel this is not your place. If you are seeking a cute little older boutique hotel in the perfect location in Paia, you have found your accommodations.

The staff were very nice and the room was as described. Not fancy but cute and functional. There is daily coffee waiting for you in a nice little common area. The restaurant was under construction and not open, but you could see it was a good venue that we are looking forward to returning to when it reopens.

The two options to go to the beach were awesome! The first one goes down a pretty walkway alley and ends at a nice ocean overlook area with plenty of seating. The entry to the beach here has lost a lot of sand due to the ocean doing its thing. You can go down to the water but it is rocky without the sand. Due to this, the Inn provides another access point a short walk down the street at their Surf Club location. This has a very easy access to the beach from a lawn area.

If your expectations are as described above I highly recommend staying here. If you are seeking a fancy resort, maybe staying in Paia area is not for you and a day visit is more what you are seeking (smile).

Paia Inn always has beautiful photos of beautiful girls on their Facebook page but none of the hotel, perhaps because you cannot take any pretty pictures of a rundown property. The owner seems to have lost all interest in the place and it just looks neglected and unloved. No mention about restaurant and bar being closed on the web site and in truth that space now looks like a dump. All buildings and gardens look like nobody cares, just lots of rubbish and 'things' that require repairs. Web site mentions a safe in each room - could not find one. Web site still mentions on site dining even if it does not exist. But the big information missing is the Amenity Fee of $30 per night that you only get told once the booking is confirmed! Confirmation also tells you about amount due on arrival but hotel will charge your card 1 week early so no chance to change card. 12 years ago Paia Inn was a beautiful place with with a lovely relaxed vibe but not now in 2025, it is just grossly overpriced for what you get. We were extremely disappointed and will not return.

Spent two nights exploring Pa’ia! Love the bed and breakfast feel but privacy of a hotel and inn! Service and cleanliness - fantastic! Two cats roam the property to greet you! Private beach access and amenities to take care of you during your stay.
