Este faro no es de los más bonitos, aún para los admiradores como es mi caso no presenta gran atrctivo. Se accede por una pequeña caminata y luego al faro por una escalera. Estaba cerrado. Tiene una tienda de recuerdos relacionados con los faros y cosas marinas, bastante caras para lo que son. El único baño que hay es quimico y no estaba bien señalizado por lo que tuvimos que preguntar.

Great little spot, caught the sunrise here and it was perfect. The stone beach is pretty nice, and there are some rocks to scramble on if that's your thing. I'm not really a lighthouse person, but that seemed nice too

My wife and I stopped here late in the afternoon on October 10, 2024 while driving to Rockland after having visited Boothbay Harbor that morning. It's a small park, with a good sized dirt and gravel parking lot. Once you park, it's about a 200 yard walk up a well-trodden trail to get to the lighthouse. Along this path there are some great scenic overlooks of the gorgeous rocky seacoast and offshore islands. Once you get to the lighthouse keeper's house, there is a rather steep set of stairs that you have to climb to get up to the lighthouse itself, where there are some great photo opportunities. The lighthouse keeper's house was closed for the season, but it appeared that when it is open, there is some sort of museum inside now. After we left the lighthouse area and walked back toward our car, we decided to take a side path that goes over to the north side of the peninsula, where there is a small rocky beach and a picnic area. As we went back to our rental car to leave, we found a small outhouse-style unisex restroom that had a vault toilet inside. It was relatively clean. Of note, there were quite a few visitors here late in the afternoon during the last week of the tourist season in Seacoast Maine, so I can imagine this place would be exceedingly crowded during peak, mid-summer season, and you just might have a problem finding a parking space unless you went early in the morning. It was definitely worth the detour to see it on our way to Rockland, which is only about a 10 minute drive away. The little village of Owl's Head that you have to drive through en route to the lighthouse is also quite quaint and has a few good photo opportunities as well.

Stunning coastal setting featuring a beautiful lighthouse atop a bluff. Take a relaxing stroll along the shore, collecting seashells and polished stones or indulge in a picnic lunch at the numerous tables along the water's edge.

Beautiful. It was worth the short hike, but we had to wait for visitors to move in order to get good photos. Stunning views and very popular with tourists. Well stocked, reasonably priced gift shop.

The View from leaving the parking lot to Owl's Head Lighthouse was Amazing. And then being able to actually go to the Top of Owl's Head Lighthouse and seeing the views ... Stunning

Beautiful shorter than typical lighthouses. Got lucky because we were able to enter the light area inside. Gorgeous day. Low number of visitors so picture taking was easier.
