Spent 3 nights in a modern cabin and it was very nice time. Clean bathroom, ( shower curtain could have been a few inches wider). AC was awesome! Mosquitoes were nit as bad as expected, but there were many biting flies. Water and beach area was great. It was interesting to see the shoreline retreat and rise as the water was released from the dam. Fishing was so so. Enjoyed playing the 18 hole disc golf course!

This is a great place to camp. The sites are large, there's a park for the kids, and the one-way traffic makes it safe for kids and adults to ride bicycles around the campground. The bathrooms/showers are nice and the beach is within walking distance. The 4th of July bicycle parade for kids is really fun!

After staying in the group lodge for a week, we headed to our adjacent campsites, which we were told would be ready at 11. One of them wasn’t. The office told us the regular that was using it probably wouldn't make checkout time at 4 either since he’s handicapped. So they told us to split up our group. At 5, they said we could move to different adjacent sites (but kiddos were in bed). The campsite was only half full this entire time, so I’m not sure why they didn't just tell us that to begin with, or why they wouldn't put the regular in the handicap site since he is handicapped. All that drama was so easily avoidable. Then there’s the rules about what is allowed on the grass, boats are fine, trucks are fine, tents are fine, but your camper tires better not be over the edge of the pavement! Or your truck better have in state plates to be on the grass. Glad they took the time to tell us that instead of telling all the other campers to get their dogs on leashes.

Beautiful spot right on the lake/river! Peaceful, quiet, gorgeous! Helpful staff came through and checked on us daily and even picked up our trash bags! Clean restrooms, hot water, dump and fill station. Highly recommend for a fishing trip or passing through on a Western trip!

Great place for families, was pleasantly surprised by the updates to the shower houses, grass is looking great. Attentive staff . Even when this campground is busy you don't feel crowded. Seems to be like minded folks camping there . The salmon fishing could have been a bit better but hey can't have everything! 😉

After 3 or 4 visits we've noticed that every evening right before sundown unmonitored teens trash the bathrooms and walk around destroying anything that's not bolted down throughout the park. Very nice bathrooms trashed every evening because parents allow their kids to run amuck.. What was a very nice park is being run down by inconsiderate people not cleaning up after themselves, their pets or monitoring their kids to curb vandalism... Very sad! Enjoy don't destroy! Also a lot of people reserve spots & never show, just ruining other people's opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors... This part was written after our first visit - Not to bad a place. Helpful, friendly staff. It's clean and well kept with nice modern restrooms & pit toilets. Tent spots, camper spots & cabins both modern and primitive available. Three campgrounds, #1 is nicely shaded but furthest from water but has cabins that are waterfront, #2 is also mostly shaded & has some spots that are close to the swim beach and #3 is mostly shaded & has some primitive cabins & some waterfront spots. We stayed in cabin #1. Quiet, ok fishing, close to restrooms, spaced out pretty good so your not 10' away from the neighbors.

Campsites are beautiful, if you can get in. Previous camper won't leave our site. So we took a random empty one. The ranger won't make the previous camper move or tow them. He offered us different sites, 5 hours after we arrived, got settled and kiddos to bed. So we aren't moving now.

Then the neighbors complained about one of our camper tires being being over the edge of the pavement, even though they have their cars, trucks and boats parked in grass, but according to the same ranger, only camper tires are bad for the grass.

The culture here is just ridiculous.

Sorry if your spot is 138 on 7/27!
