Narrows Too Campground - Trenton, Maine

As far as a campground, it is very straightforward. Location and shuttle service is a big plus for this campground. The 'camp coordinator' is the only reason I would give this place a three star. He was fantastic and helpful. He saved the face of this campground as upon arrival service was terrible and unhelpful at the office. Computer was down and that the site chosen for me was 'what I paid for therefore what you're getting'. Although I had attempted to pre-book via phone (no call back) and via internet without success. Would I go back? If there was no alternative.

The best views and a quiet peaceful stay. Even in the rain, the campground was quiet and stress-free. Our dog felt completely at home and it was nice to have lobster rolls and fresh pie within walking distance. It's just minutes from Bar Harbor village and Acadia National Park. The staff is very friendly although we never really needed anyone's help. Everything was what we wanted it to be.

L'endroit est très beau et extrêmement bien situé pour ma part j'ai réserver un cottage. C'était parfait avec un enregistrement autonome. Mais le lieux n'était pas chauffer et sela n'étais pas indiqué les sanitaires sont très loin les lieux ne sont pas éclairé et il y a très peut d'indication. Les literie ne sont pas en bon était et je pouvais sentir l'aire extérieur dans mon lit. Les fenêtres sont fermer et bloqué à l'aide de bâton trouver dans la foret. Le stationnement n'est pas optimal. Pour 1 nuit ou 2 en été c'est vraiment convenable mais il serais intéressant de notifier vos client que les lieux ne sont pas chauffer. J'étais toutes seul et j'ai eu un coup de stress car les températures sont négative la nuit. Mais je ne voudrais pas imaginer le stresse d'une famille avec des jeunes enfants. Vos annonces sont à revoir ainsi que le service offert à vos client. Je suis aller à la réception pour demander un chauffage d'appoint fonctionnelle qui ne m'as pas été fournie. Je vous remercie tout de même pour l'accueil mais sela ne vaut pas sont prix.

I never got there due to an accident in the Baltimore area going into the tunnel with our motorhome. I called to cancel within the time frame. Our reservation was for August 8 called the morning of August 6. Offered to send a police report The campground is refusing to Send my thousand dollar deposit back when I called I am told I will get my money back. The ladies are checking requesting Dakota boss to send refund. I also was told thousand trails would send me a check I called thousand trails they have our reservation, but never heard of our problems, everyone is going to call me back and no one calls. My next step is an attorney. It is now October 7 and I have heard nothing. Please don’t book this campground because if you need to cancel you will never get your deposit back. My original deposit was made April 1. 2024 for Desert Campground in Bar Harbor. We had motor home problems and had to move the date. This campground returned $587 and moved us to their sister Campground Desert Too in Trenton ME which left $1000 deposit. we had every intention of spending the time there to cover that deposit and probably more but we tore off our front steps, blew a front tire and tore the front end of the motorhome up. Within 30 minutes of downtown Bar Harbor as well as Acadia National Park (the entry to the Park Loop). Sites were level, with full service, and ample space for your toad. The bay is nearby (some sites overlooked the bay), so the full moon was beautiful over the water. This part of Maine is so beautiful--I can see why this campground is so popular!

This was our second trip to Narrows Too. Overall we enjoyed how peaceful the campground is. You can see so many stars in the sky at night. Truly beautiful. I would give a 5 star review however the biggest and most frustrating issue with out stay was the wifi. It is basically nonexistent. It is 2024 and many, many people either work from home or on the road. For the wife to be so poor that I had to find a Dunkin Donuts to complete my work in is actually inexcusable. Our neighbors in the camp next to us had the same problem and also had to find a coffee shop to get wifi for a zoom call. As much as I wish I could completely unplug while I'm away I can't so until the wifi is less of an issue we most likely won't be back to Narrows Too.

Stayed through our Thousand Trails - Trails Collection membership. Everything about this campground was pure perfection. Free bus pickup to the National Park, beautiful views including the Northern Lights, and close to the grocery store down the road. Starlink worked great, and the staff was very kind and accommodating.

Not really any amenities besides the bus which doesn't really bother us. Also, don't expect a waterfront site with the TT membership.

Great little campground next to the water. Stayed in a cabin that had electricity, ceiling fan, microwave and small frig. Flushable port a potty near cabin, or a small walk to showers and full bathrooms. Staff were friendly and after hours check in was a breeze.

About 12 miles from Acadia. Good location. Easy to find.
