This place is my go to for good tasting cup of coffee. Also This place has some of the best food I have ever had. one of my go my usual is the capresè toast. They also have a wide selection of local beers on tap. The atmosphere in this place is amazing. The waitresses are all fun to talk too and are very nice and make eating here an enjoyable experience every time. As for the owners they are fantastic at what they do and are some of the nicest people I have ver met. I totally recommend this restaurant

My family and I were on our way to Acadia National Park and happened to drive by this cute town of Bucksport. We ended up grabbing lunch at My Buddy’s Place, and really enjoyed it! Our waitress was nice and gave us excellent service and the cook in back was friendly and working hard to get our meals out fast. Everything was fresh and delicious, we especially enjoyed the chicken wings, homemade balsamic vinaigrette dressing and homemade pesto! Also, loved all the doggie decor/pics inside! Being from Chicago we love good food and loved supporting this newly opened restaurant!

Always stop here when I'm in the area! The coffee is top notch, for starters, which is always a plus! I've had pasta dishes, soup, salads, and a sandwich. All had great flavor, ample portions, and real "chef's touches" like layered flavors in the lasagna and awesome homemade bread. The salad has really awesome veggies; no limp iceberg lettuce in sight, only fresh and crisp veggies and great homemade dressing. The view of the narrows is really nice. The vibe of the dining room is simple, nothing fancy, but very comfy and a great place to grab a bite. Service is also super friendly and helpful! p.s. check out their Instagram for daily specials and hints about timely treats--their deserts are also yummy!

Very nice server and chill atmosphere. No gluten free options except for a basic salad (apparently they even use flour in their tater tots) so I can’t speak for the food, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. So yeah - wouldn’t recommend for anyone with dietary needs / gf but otherwise seems like a great place. I prefer to support local businesses and fully recognize that it’s not always affordable to have different options available, but it would be nice if there was a menu posted online to research before going or even ingredients or allergen warnings on the menus that they have in person.

me and my partner walked in on an afternoon in mid january. we were greeted and told to choose wherever we'd like to sit. menu included light eats like sandwiches and pasta,drinks included an espresso bar and a bar including beers and wine. food was delish and the warm atmosphere and kind service was much needed on a chilly day.

The atmosphere has a small town feel in this historic riverside town. We were immediately welcomed. And the food! Oh my! Fresh made! And a beautiful peak to the river out back! What a gem one might describe as “a hole in the wall”. And aren’t they sometimes just the best!

Brunch was awesome! My two children loved their food. Fresh Blueberry Muffins and breakfast sandwiches. The coffee was 1st class. I can’t wait to go back for dinner. Well-priced local beer and interesting wines, sign me up!

The Friars Brewhouse is a TOUGH act to follow! I am optimistic My Buddy's Place will prosper.

The staff were friendly and inviting. The restaurant interior (cozy, freshened up, casual, and having gorgeous river / Fort Knox view) is comfortable. The food we ordered (lobster roll and sandwich, one mimosa) was satisfying, but not really remarkable. Cost was under $50 for the two of us.

I intend to return regularly and am eager to follow their new venture. 🙂
