You can tell the dentists and hygienists here don't like their job. They just wanted to do the work, make the money, and get the next customer through the door. I did not feel like they truly cared about my health, or were knowledgeable to comment on the level of health of the my teeth and gums from a preventative standpoint. And the filling I got between two teeth catches floss so horribly that I wonder the quality of the job they did. Trying not to be too harsh, the receptionists were friendly and the space appeared tidy. I would just not recommend spending your money here.

Dr Horowitz is THE BEST dentist I have ever been to. I have had a fear of dentists since as long as I can remember. Dr H. has a way about him that just makes me comfortable. He takes his time and doesn’t rush. And this morning I broke a tooth at 7:30 and called his office, they had a cancellation for 9am, he had my tooth fixed by 9:25 and I was back at work like nothing happened. I was even comfortable enough to have it fixed without Novocain.

Well. This is the dentist that traumatized me about 20 years ago. Had to have 2 baby teeth pulled and he forgot yo numb me. As I was in pain he decided to pin me down and said it was too late to stop since he had already started breaking down the tooth. Crazy pain.

Incompetent billing staff. If you want a headache and a dentist that feels it’s not his or his staffs job to file the bills with the insurance company than this is your guy! The dentist outright stated that it’s not his job to file with insurance companies; it may not be his job, but it is in his billing departments job. Here’s what happened; this office filed one family member ( out of five) with the wrong insurance company, but did the other three correctly! The office never contacted us to say that the bill hadn’t been paid by the insurance companies nor had they sent me a bill. Now two years later (when I can’t file with the insurance company due to statue of limitations) the office is coming after me for the bill that would have been paid (by the 2 insurance policies my family carries) just like the other members seen on the same day. However, due to this dentist’s office incompetencies they filed the one child incorrectly and never followed through or up with us. Had they done so, I could have fixed the incorrect insurance for the one child and made sure that this child’s account matched the rest of the family (that they had already billed and had on file). However, two years later this bill that this dentist found only by chance because we had to see them and that is how they noticed a bill from 2 years ago. When we tried to explain their mistake, they said it wasn’t their job and they refused to help us in anyway, and it is too late to recoup the money from the insurance company. We will no longer do business with this dentist and we hope that nobody else feels this pain of frustration. I strongly suggest you stay away unless you’re planning on paying cash and do not care about insurance companies.

We’ve been going here for years and the people who attend the desk have never once been kind. They constantly change appointments over the course of the year but their computer doesn’t update. They called me last week to reschedule an appointment my daughter had on the 19th because hey had no one available that day, so her appointment was changed to today (the 9th) and I got a text message confirming the change. We go in today and immediately the desk attending staff are rude, they tell me that they attempted to contact me but were unable to and that they had to reschedule her appointment for the 19th. None of which is true, as I stated previously that they had to reschedule her to today, the 9th. Mark and his wife are lovely but everybody else is awful. I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Upon my first visit, Dr. Horowitz immediately started talking about scheduling 3 fillings for me and how he would discount the price. I was taken aback as I hadn't needed a filling in over 10 years and now I needed to have 3? I asked for clarification and was answered very condescendingly, and was pressured into scheduling (my first mistake). When I went for the first filling, there was absolutely no explanation and I didn't even know where they were going to be working in my mouth as they laid me back. I have very bad dental anxiety and grew very uncomfortable as he was drilling. I tried to signal that I needed to take a break and swallow/readjust, but him and his assistant continued to put weight on me and say "nope, nope, just a minute, just a bit longer!" and wouldn't let me sit up. Finally, they let me sit up as I started crying and was growing panicked. The whole experience was so surreal as I had never had a dentist be this aggressive. When I started to apologize for crying, both he and his assistant had left the room and were extremely annoyed with me for inconveniencing them.

Fast forward to having to go back 8 months later because this filling HURT badly, so much that I was having problems smiling/talking. He at first would not see me and said it was "normal." When he finally did see me, he roughly tapped on my tooth with a metal device and blew air into the hole and asked what my pain was. I said an 8, to which he replied, "if it was that bad you'd be grabbing my wrist begging me to stop." I then insisted that I didn't feel that it was a normal amount of pain, as he grew angry and snidely said "then I guess you'll need to have a root canal which I can't do for you."

This experience was almost 2 years ago and i STILL think about it. If you require any ounce of bedside manner with dental work, I implore you to go elsewhere. And no matter where you go- please always advocate for yourself and remember you dont HAVE to do anything you're uncomfortable with.

Would have given O stars if it let me. Made an emergency appointment for my teenage son just for him to refuse to do the extraction stating he was too young (almost 17) which he should have known when I made the appointment and gave his date of birth and all of his information… aside from that super disrespectful and kept telling me he could start a root canal for a flat rate of $300 but I’d have to go elsewhere to finish it. Frustrating to say the least. Plus he looked more like he was ready to fix my car then perform a medical procedure.

The building was very nice, and very nice waiting room people. My mom brought me and my other two siblings in, due to the fact I’m only a teenager. Right away I had been kinda sketched out by looking at some reviews, I didn’t have enough time to read them but I wish I did. My two siblings, ten and fifteen, came in for cavity fillings. I came for mine to be checked on. The second I got in the chair I was already kind of uncomfortable knowing I had a male dentist, but I just blamed it on my anxiety and tried to let it go. He looked at my X-rays and said that my cavity, which was very small, would need to be worked on. Which he’s assistant then said that it was actually the same size and just needed to be checked. Which he then just brushed it off and took a look in my mouth. I was not impressed with the fact he was very well leaning on me, and I was super uncomfortable. I’m a well known person at schools and to my family for being straight forward and being able to voice how I feel no matter how it will effect the other person, but I told myself to just work threw it anyways and kept my mouth shut. He was very aggressive with his tools poking at my teeth, obviously I have gotten my teeth worked on previously but I haven’t had someone work on them like him. Once he stopped I sat back up and he told my the dangers of smoking. I’ve fourteen so I’m well aware of the dangers because I have gotten talked to about it plenty of times at school. But you do get waivers signed by parents, which I did my own paper work (for the most part) so I knew there was nothing about it signed. He continued to tell me about dangers of smoking and drinking. But not without mentioning that it takes years off your life and how he had buddy’s that smoke, where his assistant made a joke about his friends being dead, which I find to be disrespectful and very unprofessional. Because I am not their friend nor do I want to hear about it. He than left the room and I was sent to the waiting room.

He went ahead to work on my sister to get some cavities filled. She has some on both sides, which he refused to work on the remaining ones and only did 2/5. She drinks flavored water and hadn’t known how bad it was, but she does brush twice a day and flosses. He said that she needs to reschedule my mother thought it was very ridiculous due to the fact I’ve gotten all mine worked on at the same appointment. He told my sister it’s going to hurt for a couple months after. I’ve done study’s in the passed based off wanting to work as a dentist. As well as personally having cavities filled, it should NOT hurt after and if it does he may have hit a nerve, or dug too deep into the enamel. He also had the smoking and drinking talk with my sister and told her to “save your money for a house” she’s fifteen in Maine, she can’t even get a decent paying job yet.

He then worked on my brother and was supposed to fill cavities and chose to “reschedule” because there was someone coming in based off emergency within another appointment. The emergency, was a guys crowns that fell off. I haven’t looked into anything with crowns, but this guy walked in and the worker at the dest asked him if he currently had the crowns. Back to the doctor, he also talked to my brother who is ten, about smoking. When my mom tried to address the fact he’s only ten, he very rudely cut my mom off and continue the conversation. He also didn’t let my mom in the room with any of us.

I hope this guy looks at his reviews, (targeted to him) you need to go back to training, as well as learn some respect. You pick a job you enjoy, not just one that pays good money. As well as get surgical stainless tools.
