Llegue 10pm y no me atendieron en toda la noche la gente se iba a su casa mejor en vez de esperar

Anoche fui de emergencia por condiciones respiratorias dolor y precion en el pecho eras las 12:30 de la madrugada cuando yegue tube que esperar una hora para que me tomaran los signos vitales la enfermera que me Iso eso se portó muy mal con migo sonaba tan rasista que incluso me dijo que no entendía mi inglés y no sabía que era lo que le estaba diciendo me mandó para fuera tube que esperar 5 horas con mucho dolor y sin poder respirar les pedí ayuda muchas veces no me ayudaron cuando alfin me pasaron las doctora se portó muy grosera y sin más preámbulo me dijo que no tenía nada espere 5 horas para que me dijeran que no te niña nada me dieron unas cuantas pastillas y suero y me sacaron no les importo que les dijera que estaba embarazada el peor hospital de todo Hagerstown jamás volveré a poner un pie ahí está lleno de rassismo y aquí sigo muy mala 😔

A 14+ hour wait in ER is unacceptable when patient was transported at 3 am by ambulance. There is absolutely NO reason anyone should be in an ER that long waiting to be admitted & a room. And people laying on the floor in waiting room just to be seen and the line out the ER door of those waiting to be checked in....Meritus you deserve 0 stars & I wish that was possible. Horrible what I saw today. Spend money on expanding the ER & more staff to run efficiently because giving students new housing & classrooms doesn't help the patients in need. There is absolutely no reason the ER should look like it does!!!

If you want to die, this is the hospital for you . If your bleeding to death , they will just watch you or leave you to die for hours on end. There is a reason this hospital is rated a 2.2. The managers are not professional and do not care about you. They will make every excuse to defend there actions and justify what they did wrong. To give insight, we waited for almost 5 and a half hours in the waiting room. My wife was bleeding profusely whenever she went to the restroom. She also has anemia . The blood results confirmed this. They did a cat scan about an hour and a half after we arrived . The results still have not been received after almost 6 hours . We told them my wife needed to lie down in the car because she is feeling weak. I drove two blocks away to the Sheetz gas station to get some Gatorade for her and they said she was eloping from the hospital. They said now we have to wait all 6 hours again and that we obviously didn't think the situation was serious enough to stay . Are you kidding me ? They obviously didn't care about my wifes situation making her wait as long as they did with no room or results. This hospital should not exist or get better management who holds themselves accountable. If you were doing the right thing, then your hospital would not be rated a 2.2 .

I went there for the delivery of my child and the experience was amazing. The L&D nurses were kind, patient, attentive, accommodating. The facilities were clean, technology was more advanced than I expected -- there was an iPad in my room that I used to check on my own labs and notes from the doctors. I could also order food with the iPad. The food was decent, and there were options for vegetarians. All of the staff were respectful and polite. I'm impressed with the hospital, you can tell thought went into the establishment so that patients would have a good experience.

My daughter was transported to Meritus after a motorcycle accident. Her nurse Laura, who treated her in the ER was terrible. No bedside manner. Extremely rude. When questioned about what medication was being given she got very aggressive and rude. When a medication was denied she got even more irritated. My 19 year old daughter had a severe concussion and a broken wrist. They prescribed her fentanyl and I asked why fentanyl and she said that’s just what was given to me. Ok that’s fine but I would like to request a different medication due to my daughter history and reactions to narcotics. She went to my daughter who has a concussion and can’t even remember what day it was and asked her if she wanted the medicine. Thankfully my daughter said no she did not. Before I even asked what she was giving her via IV she started hooking everything up without even telling anyone what was being given. I had to stop her and question her. My daughter wanted a drink and we weren’t sure if she was allowed to have anything so we asked her nurse. She said she needed to ask the doctor. Never came back. Two hours later and her doctor finally came in and discharged her. Still never answered about the drink. We had to remind the nurse, Laura that she was to be discharged with a sling for her arm. Again attitude because she forgot and had to be reminded. She showed zero compassion for her patient. Laura if you’re reading this, maybe the medical field isn’t for you.
