Update: I swear this has been to the most crooked place ever. So apparently after you pay a ticket in the State of GA that hit you with someone called a “Super Speeder” and send you an additional $200 ticket. It literally is the biggest scam; they do make money on it but I would almost guarantee this community has zero growth the only way they can support themselves is by basically screwing out of state people. Someone should tell them about how to grow an economy in other ways. I’m sure by writing this that GA maybe have some secret law on the freedom of speech and a magic $200 ticket will appear.

If I could give this county less than one star I would. I was driving home to Florida from my honeymoon when I got pulled over. I have no problem receiving a ticket for speeding, but what really upsets me is how they accept their payment. Not only do they charge a $14 convenience fee, but every time I attempted to enter my information it came back as invalid. When it finally accepted my information I checked my bank account and they had taken $180 out of my account 11 times. When I called them to express my concerns they told me that it could take 5 to 7 days to be returned. The real kicker is the excuse from their Clerk of Court, she told me I could have just mailed it in. This is 2018 if you a website that accepts payments that's the convenient thing to do. If your elected official makes excuses like that I really do feel bad for the people of this county it has poor representation and judging by the ratings of google I'm not the only one that has this sentiment.

Got a speeding ticket for going 18 over in Darien, GA. My original court date was on August 8th but I called and explained why I couldn’t make it and they were very kind and pushed my court date to August 22nd. Went in for my court date and was in and out within 30 minutes, everyone there was extremely kind and helpful and lowered my speeding ticket to 14 over and dropped the points that were supposed to be put on my license when I paid the ticket and court fee. I see everyone posting terrible reviews because they got a speeding ticket but honestly if you’re going to speed you need to be ready to pay the price for it, all you need to do is be kind to them and they’ll be kind right back. It sucks I got a ticket but I was very happy with how it turned out and how helpful everyone at the office was!

Speeding tickets are suck jokes in this backwoods county. The officers don't even know how much the tickets are. The price jumps are so dramatic and they offer no extensions. If you're going 19-23 over the ticket is $215 but if you're going 24-33 over the ticket is $705. Wow. I hope to never have to deal with anyone in this county ever again.

If I could give NEGATIVE rating on the star scale I would. They are UNLAWFUL,CROOKED THIEVES. They know I-95 is the shortest way for people to get to Florida and they take advantage by ticketing law abiding citizens for ALL THE MONEY THEY CAN. This fat red headed woman officer with the most tackiest pink glitter nails , had nothing but attitude and a smart mouth ticketed us $700.00 for move over law and our tag being covered up, which it wasn't, stating she couldn't see the South Carolina on our tag. They put dummy vehicles out on the side of the roads and pull over any body they can. My suggestion any travelers going to Florida through Georgia , find another route and AVOID MCINTOSH COUNTY DARIEN, GEORGIA. This is why people do not trust or have faith in the law officers in America, they take advantage and do what they want.

This town is a speed trap. I was driving through cop said I was going 95 in a 70 but the cars ahead of me was. He picked me for my Florida tag and I have a Cadillac Escalade. The town makes there money on tickets . My ticket was 705.00. This is against the law. I called the new governor and he acted like he didn’t care.

Ridiculous and corrupt like most white law enforcers in the U.S. A fat white female sheriff claimed she clocked me at 85 when I clearly was going 75. If you're going to give me a ticket, please give me one for the speed I'm really going. But who's gonna believe a black guy, especially with the other injustices going on in America in relation to cops. This chick saw a South Carolina tag and immediately knew I probably couldn't show up to court to contest it. It's ridiculous that these white folks set up these scam ticket offenses to generate whatever revenue for their hick towns. That's why I don't lose any sleep when things happen to any of them in the line of duty because they're all dirty, evil, bad and whatever you want to call them. There are complaints all over the Internet about Mcintosh, but nothing can and will be done because the superiors to these whites are white too, so you might as well go ask the KKK to march in solitude with the Black Panthers. It's pointless! But keep illegally stopping folks because eventually they'll stop the wrong person...

Same as the others before me commented. It was a heavyset lady with pink nails on, Officer B. HOGAN, she initially gave me 3 tickets, “Move Over Law”, “License Plate” because I am from South Carolina, and our frames do cover the State Name, and also “Speeding” according to her I was doing 90 in a 70 which I knew was wrong. . She also tack on “Video Chat” while driving, she said “I ASSUME you was video chatting because your phone was on your lap when I walk up to your jeep”, mind you I am PARKED. I have proof of the video chat log, as well as the time stamp on the tickets, I’m heading from SOUTH CAROLINA to FLORIDA, my maps was on and I was bumping music, but when we went to court she told a totally different lie, I also got a ticket for NOT SIGNING THE TICKETS. Apparently you can get a ticket for not signing the tickets in GA. So instead of paying the tickets, I went to court to fight it and I ask for a jury trial but instead I was advise to have a bench trial, so I did that and what happen yesterday, to say the least was a DISGRACE. It is nothing but BLLEEEEEEEEEP AND BLLEEEEP AND BLEEEEEEEP TRIGGER HAPPY COPS, throughout that whole county. I had my daughter with me, and the Judge was arguing back and forth with me because on the record I stated my facts and she didn’t like it, so when I got in her ass about it, she pull her Judge card and told the cop to put me in jail, mind you, I have my 2 year old
daughter with me, so she tells the officer to call DEPARTMENT OF CHILD SERVICES on me, everything is on the record. Everything is recorded. And I will still fight this to the end. She knew she was wrong, because when the cop took me to jail, I was immediately released 15 mins later, and was able to pick my child up from DCS. It is nothing but crooked cops and it starts with THE MAIN one, B HOGAN. She is very rude and arrogant, all they do, or well SHE DO, is sit on her ass in that neck of the woods and try and clock people and tack on more then one ticket, which is WRONG. God does not like ugly that’s exactly why he made her the way she is. . When I pleaded my case, I already had knock one ticket down, but when the judge was arguing back with me, and I was explaining to her that ON THE RECORD this is what I said and she can play the record back, she found me GUILTY on all charges, even the one she said I wasn’t found guilty of, she found me guilty of it and order me to pay all the fines, 12 month probation, defense drivers course class, and 80 hours of community services. I’m not doing neither of that. I said what I said, and I meant it. I’m a well educated MILITARY AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMAN, and I know my rights, and I’m not afraid to fight for what’s right and what’s wrong. This has been a very bad judgement on her as a Judge and I wouldn’t be surprise that this will call attention to anyone that’s above her. She was wrong, and B HOGAN was just as wrong as she was. It was an CAUCASIAN man explaining his case before me, and she let him over ride her many of times and she even said out her own mouth, “I RESPECT YOUR OPINION” but when I plead my case, and I talk out of turn ALLEGEDLY, according to the Judge, she found me in contempt of court. Which is HOGWASH.. My child had to see me walk out of that courtroom which I was initially only there to plead my case, knock some of these tickets off or down to say the least and go about my way. But instead I end up being walk out by a cop, while my child is in the hands of people she doesn’t even know, they wouldn’t even let me kiss my child goodbye because I didn’t know how long they was going to keep us apart, only to be let out of jail 15mins later, just because the JUDGE WANTED TO PROVE A POINT. I had to drive 4 hours away just to make it on time to court at 9, which means my child had to come with me. There was no way around that. Another soldier before me was sentenced to jail for 24 hours because according to the Judge they just pass a law saying if you do more then 100mphs over the Speeding limit, you will be sent to jail. . I just got me a lawyer, & we will fight this.
