My husband and I have eaten here many times over the last couple of years; both breakfast and dinner. The food is consistently outstanding, as is their service and prices. The meats and vegetables are always fresh and great quality. I tried the burger tonight for the first time ... it was THE BEST I have ever eaten! My husbands calamari steak piccata was flavorful and cooked perfectly as well. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from in Pacific Grove, and we usually choose Mauricio's.

Excellent butternut squash ravioli and rigatoni with meatballs. Best we've ever had. Atmosphere was casual, service was friendly, food was hot and served with little wait. Oh, and the bread was tasty. We will definitely visit again when we are in Pacific Grove.

Wow! YUM-O! OK, I'll stop now with the Rachel Ray references.

My partner in crime and I ventured out to Pacific Grove after a full day of sightseeing along Hwy 1. We had previously been to Mauricio's on an earlier trip to Monterey and Asilomar and had enjoyed a great breakfast so naturally, when we both got hungry we sought out the place that had immensely pleased our tasted buds before however, they were closed to get ready for dinner. Bummer!

During our wait, we enjoyed the great local farmer's market that was taking place outside. It's too bad we didn't live locally because we both wanted to take home some organic mushrooms and the fresh flowers just smelled wonderful or maybe we were both just so hungry that we had a heightened sense of a great meal that awaited and that just made everything look so good. But yes, if you do have a chance check out the farmer's market.

Anyway, 45 minutes later after sitting on the bench outside and watching life go by, the restaurant finally opened for dinner and we were the first customers. This diner is pretty small but the atmosphere is cozy and friendly and you can tell it's a local favorite because as soon as we were seated a few locals walked in with special requests for the chef.

From our last visit, we noticed a new Spanish menu addition and I had the Chicken fajitas with the mango salsa and my partner in crime had the Fish and Chips. Normally, I'm not a big fan of chicken fajitas because they can either be overwhelmed with spices or too greasy but the chicken was spot on and fresh and the mango salsa was just wonderful. I was almost close to licking my plate clean but I refrained myself. And in his own words, my partner in crime describes his Fish and Chips as fresh with the perfect blend of crunch fried batter and soft tasty fish. The tartar sauce was described as perfect and the fries were average but piping hot.

We were sad to leave PG and we almost for a second, well at least I did, wished we could be locals. Mauricio's, we will be back soon. Thanks for having us again.

Such a great place! The good was full of favor and was well done. The service is very attentive and kind, the theme of restaurants is cozy. The restroom are also very clean with elegant decor. Loved it. Definitely coming back.

Party of seven on a Thursday evening. Friendly and attentive service. Delicious dinners, almost everyone ordered a different dish. Calamari steak, pollo parmigian, chicken marsala, paella, butternut squash ravioli, and grilled chicken. All were excellent!

We had a meeting in PG . For our lunch break we decided to head up to Mauricio's the food was very very Coco's like the service was slow the back of the house was filthy and to top it all off our credit card number was stolen. We can say this because we spent money at only one business in Pacific Grove and this was it. So for doing so the (Thanks!) We got was our credit card number was stolen. We are working with the bank now to see if we can put a stop to this.. Beware.

Food was very mediocre, and that is being generous. Toast was cold and hashbrowns were basically raw. The tables and floors were clean, bonus. The service was poor and unfriendly. Won't be returning anytime soon.

Good breakfast (I had crab benedict) and friendly staff. Would like to come back for dinner or lunch sometime. Cute atmosphere - which goes for the entire Pacific Grove area!
