Beautiful area, spaced sort of close together depending on site. Bathrooms, electric, water, trails. Dump station close by. Only there for overnight, would love to come back for more exploring. Register rock is close by, an interesting Oregon Trail site.

Unfortunately the boat launch is currently under construction, making it unavailable through the fall, but I was able to slip my kayak in the Snake River via the picnic area. A paddle around the area was magical with high cliffs and boulder rising up slong the river banks. Beautiful turquoise water was too cold for swimming, but was great for birdwatching as well. Several Western Grebes were spotted raising their families along the grassy island located in front of the park. Try to get a campsite in the lower loop to be sheltered from highway noise. Nice comfort station and hiking trails along the river afford great views as well.

I usually stay over here in the off-season, on my way from Montana to Oregon. It’s a very pleasant site, almost secluded, with some quality views of the snake River as well as Riverside access. The campsites are quite nice, there are also small cabins. Overall, a very nice place for an overnighter off the interstate.

This place is AMAZING! We were there the last week of December and were the only people there. We stayed in spot #31 and it was awesome, great view and near the bathrooms. Hot free showers, a visitor center full of history and amazing views.

There's not much to this park, but what there was is kept clean and in good order. The hiking was good. The boat ramp is currently under renovation.

Don't pick a campsite in the upper loop backing up to the Interstate, like we did. The noise never really stops. The big trucks, with multiple trailers climbing the long hill make for a fitful sleep.

Nice park with dirt roads and parking spaces. There is no road to the shower/restrooms as it is located in the middle of the loop. We were lucky to have a path but it was very steep, which my wife could barely negotiate. $36 for one night. Electric and water. On the banks of the Snake River.

Wow. My wife and I had no idea this gem of a State Park existed. Despite the June heat, the campsites were shaded by juniper trees and massive , colorful boulders. The visitor center is small. However it contains excellent information about the pioneers who camped here If you are willing to take a 1.6 hike, you can see the ruts of their wagons
