? What an amazing experience at Marisi La Jolla! ?

?️ The CHICKEN LIVER MOUSSE and BOLOGNESE were absolutely divine - flavors that danced on the palate! ?

Max and Nick were outstanding hosts, going above and beyond to make the experience special.

?To top it all off, they had my favorite Christmas song playing - Last Christmas by WHAM! It added the perfect festive touch to an already incredible evening.

? And unlike most places in the area, they’re open on Mondays! Perfect for starting the week with amazing food and service.

Not only was the service impeccable, but they also did something rare: boxed and bagged my leftovers for me! ?✨ It’s a small detail, but it made a huge impression - no "doggy bag toss" here! ?

? 5 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.

My husband and I loved everything about Marisi. The whole restaurant is adorable, inside and out. We ordered cocktails to start and loved both the Cantaloupe Margarita, & the Apricot Old Fashioned. Both were perfectly balanced in flavor, with a hint of sweetness. For appetizers we chose the Focaccia, the Burrata & the Prawns. We really loved these choices, though for us, the Burrata wasn’t our favorite. Not to say it wasn’t delicious, but with the mild flavor of the Burrata, the stone fruit was actually was a little overpowering and sweet. For our meal we shared the Bolognese. The entree portions are smaller, but perfect if you prefer smaller meals or if you start with appetizers like we did. For dessert we chose the Milk Chocolate, & the layers complimented each other so well. The service was outstanding, and everyone was very friendly. We really loved this restaurant and will definitely be coming back.

Amazing design and decor. The food lived up to the design. The pistachio french toast and cinnamon buns are a must! Loved the breakfast martini too. But the best part of the experience was our server, Nick. He was so knowlegeable about the menu, made great recommendations and his service level elevated the entire experience. Nick is an All-Star.

This new Italian restaurant is beautiful!
Gorgeous indoor and outdoor seating, with beautiful oval bar, lighting, wall paper, flowers and lemon motif.
A really pretty place for birthdays, special occasions, or a romantic date night.

The service from the front desk (hostess) to the waiter is excellent, attentive, and friendly.

The food is not that special, in my opinion.
I had the fresh pasta with clams, and there may have been 6 tiny clams removed from their shells. I expected a white wine + butter sauce with plenty of chopped clams, but that is not what you get here.
My spouse had the fresh rigatoni with tomato sauce and a spoon of soft cheese.
The portion sizes for pasta are what you would expect for a side dish, or one of a 3 course meal, but not an entree.

The appetizer of prosciutto + grilled thinly sliced pineapple was delicious and presented nicely. The fresh gem salad was big enough to share.

If you are shy about eating in front of your date or your friends, this is beautiful restaurant to dress up and enjoy a small plate of food with a bottle of wine.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the food and service are excellent. We went for Sunday brunch and had the carpaccio, rigatoni, cinnamon roll, Bellini, and breakfast martini. They're all good. Definitely want to try the dinner menu next time!
