We have been coming here since it opened 30+ years. Over the last several years, it’s impossible to see my own PCP. An appointment was scheduled several months ago to see her and I couldn’t get in until January. Now they just called me and said they have to move it to March unless I want to see someone else? I don’t understand this at all. They just don’t care.

I have been coming to this office since I was a baby and I am now 24. I am in the office every 3 months to receive a birth control shot - and the appointment is quite literally 30 seconds. However, for the past probably 4 years, regardless of if I show up early, on time, or 5 minutes late, it takes them between 15-40 minutes to see me after my scheduled time. I have never complained nor have I ever written a review - even on the days where they “forgot to schedule a nurse” and took 40 minutes to realize. I’m a patient and understanding person and I know healthcare is complicated. Normally, I’m frustrated from waiting 30 minutes for a less than 5 minute appointment, but when the nurse calls my name and apologizes and asks me how I am, and we have a friendly chat etc, I am no longer upset and then it’s a whole other 3 months before I’m in again and my frustration dissipates. Today though, I actually left more upset than I felt while waiting. I arrived at 10:25 for a 10:45 appointment and I wasn’t called in until 11:08. The nurse called my name, said nothing when I came to the door, didn’t introduce herself or ask me anything or apologize for the wait. Literally spoke no words to me. Then when I was sat waiting for the shot all she asked was if it was in my leg or in my butt. I felt really uncomfortable and weird because despite my frustration with waiting, I’ve never been seen by a nurse in this manner. She also told me that the front desk would schedule my next shot when I check out and this bothered me because every single other nurse I’ve ever seen (I’ve been getting this shot for 8 years) has asked if they want me to have them schedule it right there in the room (and I always do). She didn’t tell me to have a good day or anything! It was very strange and upsetting. This was honestly such an annoying experience all around but I’m almost USED to waiting longer than normal at this appointment. But today was my last straw. She didn’t tell me her name - because she did not talk to me - so I’m unsure. The front desk staff thought her name was “Marie”. Just overall fed up and disappointed with this whole experience and I’m heavily considering switching my doctors office. The relatively new man at the front desk is extremely friendly and I was able to express concerns to him and I appreciate him and all the friendly staff this office does have. Though, I feel that something needs to be done about the disorganization and unfriendliness of some employees and appointments.

After taking our son here for a few months we have decided to try the location in Westbrook. Half of our appointments have been cancelled after making them weeks or months in advance, and every time the next available appointment is always at least a month out. I don't think it's professional in the least bit, and my baby shouldn't have to wait an extra month for his wellness appointments, especially when he's scheduled for vaccinations. Appointments that are cancelled by the practice should be of higher priority, especially if it is concerning a newborn/infant. It's a shame because we really loved our pediatrician, but what's the point if we can't get in to see him? Also, the same woman I've spoken with each time this has happened has an awful attitude and never calls back when she says she will. I'm the one you are inconveniencing, the least you can do is act decent. I plan to provide this feedback with the appropriate people.

Our daughter's appointments have been consistently rescheduled because her doctor "isn't in the day she's scheduled to be seen". This has happened 3 times now, and her appointments are always scheduled at least 3 months in advance. What's the deal? The admin staff is rude when asked about anything. I'll be taking my daughter somewhere where the staff actually cares.

I have been a patient of this practice for over 10 years. My PCP and his team have always been supportive and helpful in addressing my medical needs. Mainehealth is definitely a corporate entity that leaves much to be desired but when reviewing at this practice in terms of provider care, I highly recommend this medical facility.

If you are thinking about being a patient here. Don't. The doctors are pretty good and I like mine enough that I have yet to switch despite the continuous nightmare of dealing with their office. I agree with the reviewer who indicated that the person in charge of the office should be fired. I also had a nurse named "Max" tell me when I had yet to be diagnosed Congestive Heart Failure and had passed a asthma test that she had gone "above and beyond for me" (her reference to calling me back) when I indicated that despite the asthma test being negative, I was having shortness of breath, had to sleep sitting up, and could not walk 5 feet without almost passing out, and that I knew something was seriously wrong with me. I cannot imagine any nurse that I know, ever saying that to a patient. Isn't that why they are in that line of work? To help people. She has the worst attitude as do so many other people in that office. Their tone of voice is cold and uncaring as is their body language when you go in. They act like you are a serious interruption to their day. They do not return phone calls. When you have already given a detailed message and they have that message in front of them and you are calling because they never returned the message, they never apologize and they have no problem asking you for all the information again as if this is the first time you are calling. I have now dealt with at least five other doctor's offices since being referred and diagnosed and not one of their offices are like this. The other offices staff are nice and friendly and happy to help in any way they can. I get along with them so well that my Cardiologist actually offered me a job at her office. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this practice. If it wasn't such a pain to get a new doctor, I would have done it a long time ago (I also really like my doctor here and she does not run the office).

We have been using this office for pediatric care for about 3 years. It consistently takes a long time to have a sick child seen, usually an appointment is available on the following day. We have dealt with that and just gone to Mercy on the circle when needed.

I just brought my son in with an infection in is right eye. Every bit of common sense pointed at antibiotic eye drops. We asked for them. My son had the infection for two days already. Dr. Donnelly said it could be viral, and to give it a week without any drops, that if it persisted to call and they would call them in over the phone. My son could hardly open his eye. 5 miserable days later with allergy meds/drops we called for the antibiotic drops, they wouldn't call them in; said to wash his bedding every day and put his other bedding items in dryer because it could be allergies. We had to take him to mercy to get oral antibiotics at this point. Followed up the next day to get drops from another office that said he clearly should have been given drops to avoid this misery in the first place.

If you have another option for pediatric care, it is likely far better than this place.

I have dealt with several doctors over the years because of moving and having separate physicians for my children. Lakes Region (maybe all of MMP practices but I can only speak for LR) is BY FAR THE WORST. Everything from re-filling appointments, creating unscheduled "urgent" appointments, alternative caretakers (redundant paperwork was misplaced, not communicated, refused despite all consents, just a mess all around), talking to competent employees who notice and care about immediate needs. I've never seen standards this low. I should have walked out the moment I saw a doctors office with no toys for kids. I mean in 2 years of having doctors there (love Dr. Murray, hate this practice) I can't tell you how many times I tried to leave. If I had the option to do it again I'd wait months for an opening somewhere else rather than go through this practice again. RUN.
