Great experience! I had a mini manicure with Joyelle today. My experience with nail techs is that they are very rough with pushing cuticles back, which I feel isn't necessary to be so aggressive in pushing them too far, since they can get inflamed and infected.

I didn't mention anything to Joyelle about my negative experiences with manicures. I was surprised when she started with my cuticles how gentle she was. No one has ever been so gentle and pain free as she is. I felt very relaxed and confident in her ability to take care of my nails. She did a great job and I will definitely be back.

Also, Mahala's Day Spa is beautiful!

Wonderful experience here. The whole place has this glamorous yet elegantly serene atmosphere. I was extremely happy with my hair and eyelashes. Have already referred a friend there. Very reasonably priced and highly attentive. I will certainly be a new regular on Mahala's schedule.

I found Lindsey on her facebook and instagram. She had pictures of how I have my hair done so I thought easy will be great. She is really good at haircuts - impressive job there for sure. Great job with eyebrows. But I'm left speechless and in shock over the color. We had a consult before the appt and I told her I wanted my hair her color. I showed her pictures of hair she had done - said that color, same as her. I just like my natural touched up and copper highlights, splash of burgundy. I even showed her pictures of different shades of copper and said not like the dark but the lighter almost blond shades. Somehow, instead of my natural very light brown, my hair ended up black. It was so dark it made all the light copper highlights look just look brown. I left with dark black roots and brown overall hair. It took her 5 1/2 hours and I was late to work so I paid and ran. But she said to come back if not fully happy. Also, I think she used bleach. I told her I had thyroid and my hair is very sensitive (and my hair has never needed bleach for what I like done.). Within hours of leaving my scalp burned and hurt! I had to see an NP and get medicated shampoo. I had scabs all over. It burned and itched so bad I had to wash it four times in 24hours and lost a lot of hair. I messaged her on instagram, the only way she'll communicate, and said it was way to dark, explained the medical issues. She said she'd only charge me half her normal price to add highlights. What!? (And it didn't need highlights at all. It needed the overall black color taken out and toner). I called the shop. I live 25min away but I left a message and offered to come by to meet with her and the owner. I begged her and Mahala to please communicate with me anyway but instagram - that is just not professional. I was ignored. I found a wonderful lady who did not use harsh chemicals and fixed my hair in two appointments - and paid literally half of what Lindsey charged me - for both those appts combined. And no scabs, no burning, no major hair loss, no prescription shampoo, no instagram messaging. Lindsey tried to say I showed her pictures and wanted it dark. But I showed her pictures of light hair, I showed her pictures with light and dark and clearly said I do not want this dark, we had a conversation about how I liked her hair color. I have no idea how with all that my hair ended up black and burned - 1 week before my birthday. Then charged almost $200. I asked to be refunded just for the color - not the cut or eyebrows as those were great. But again - no response. I have no idea what happened. But with the scalp medical issues, very wrong color, to be charged to fix it, and refused to talk to me off instagram message...just left very hurt and speechless. Shocking experience.

I booked a massage here with Tori, she was very talented and caring. She educated me about what she was doing as well as how to take care of myself away from the clinic as well. The whole experience was very professional and safe and relaxing. I’d recommend Tori to anyone who wants a high quality massage from a professional and passionate therapist for a very reasonable price.

Mia is absolutely wonderful! The best facial I have ever had, so relaxing, luxurious, and great results! I recently went with a group of woman to the salon, and the whole staff was so wonderful with all appointments. I highly recommend!

I’m not happy with results from micro needling and also was not comfortable with wax removal on face . She left many areas undone and am sorry but I pay for service. Don’t much care if you’re pregnant or any personal issues. I pay for a service which was not done correctly. Not very professional considering I was a good client.

Mahala's is my new favorite place to be! I have now tried a variety of services and plan on coming in for many more. Beautiful and clean space, lovely staff and exceptional service. As someone who has been to many spa's/salons, I highly recommend this one!
